Great purchases you all have there.  I would have been tempted but I already had an early sketch that I got from him back before the Simpsons became super popular.  

FWIW, here's the sketch.  The bulge above Bart's left eye is more pronounced on mine and on the PSA example, but I don't necessarily think that is disqualiying.  The formation of his right eye is similar across all the examples - the pen seems to start near the top and go counterclockwise around.  (The ear evolved over time).

Thanks so much for sharing. Thats amazing. That date specifically gave me flashbacks and goosebumps as I remember that day in my life so clearly for unrelated reasons.

Wow, Im remembering that whole era. In Chicago, Bart Mania already took hold and I was begging for a t-shirt of Bart saying "Eat my shorts man" which I was never given. Their excuse was because schools started to ban them already haha.. they just didn't want to spend the money on me 😅 

You're right though, the Simpsons would go on to become even more popular more than anyone could have imagined. There wasn't social media back then of course so no way of knowing what existed beyond my little bubble aside from TV media and hype in school. 

I wish I had an item like yours back then. But so grateful to own one (4) now haha. I don't blame you for not buying one of these. You can't top what you already have. 

I believe you are right about authenticity but these days everything has to be researched to be certain.

Here's a video of Matt sketching Bart. Seems a bit slow, must have tried to speed the process up for all of these. Makes a bit of sense to stick with one Character for repetitiveness. Maybe getting it down to 20 - 25 seconds? With breaks, maybe 100 per hour?. Spread it out over a week or 2 whenever he has spare time.  Very realistic and worth it for him to hype these box sets... its fun to think about.
