Alright I was in a card store today and asked the guy if he had any autographed items. He then led me over and pulled out two Mickey Mantle photos.  Both photos have a hologram with number that looks like it came from the same authenticity company.  However the "secondary" mantle photo has the hologram AND taped on the back is the COA.

On the main photo, only the hologram is on the front.

The store owner was up front and honest. He said that he was not sure about the company and did not know if the signature was authentic or not.  He said that the company used to be reliable but in the later years they went "rogue" and lost their credibility. Who knows?

First do you all know anything about the Autograph Legends LLC company?

Second, is the signature authentic?

Typical "Florida" forgery.

Associated with the COAs Nicholas Burczyk, YMC Sports, MFP Reborn, Myst-O-Graph, etc.

so autograph legends LLC is a bad company all around or were they once legit but turn bad like the man said?

I have never seen an item I considered authentic item with that COA.

I had never seen it or heard of them?

I have read where you all have said "typical Florida Forgery". What do you mean by that?

They all originate from the same source in "Florida."

This is the product of a known Florida Forgery ring. This is a mass produced fake style well-known to experienced collectors. As Chris noted above, the forgery ring uses a number of COAs to peddle their fakes. Autograph Legends as well as those listed above are always associated with fakes.

Exactly.

Nicholas Burczyk (who never examined a single sports autograph), Myst-O-Graph, YMC Sports, MFP Reborn and countless others.

Awful forgery and god knows how many of those COA's were issued and more!!!!!!!!!!!

These are all over the place.

Local auctions, estate sales, charity events, Ebay, AtAuction, AlwaysAtAuction, Ubid, etc.

In my estimation, tens upon tens of thousands.

If you look at the super closeup you provided, the image sure looks like it could be a high res inkjet print. Something that did not exist when Mantle was alive.

well this is the second item. I thought this one didnt look right from the start.  What about the other item.

I have 6 total photos. This one here and the COA were together. The rest of the photos were from another Mantle Item.  Is that one just as forged as this one ahhaa.?

Man I had a bad feeling when I was looking at them but I was hoping I found my diamond in the rough so to speak.
