eBay seller rivahgirl picked up some junk Mantle forgeries at an auction thinking she found the diamond in the rough, unfortunately she picked up some turds in the rough, and is looking to flip them on eBay for profit.

Here are 3 horrific Mantle forgeries listed by eBay seller rivahgirl , all of these ending in 8 hours.

GAI forgeries:

Love the "blurred" photos these sellers have on AUTOGRAPHS, something that is VERY IMPORTANT TO SEE.

Another eBay seller who knows NOTHING about autographs going to a local auction and buying junk fakes to flip on eBay for profit while eBay sits back and does NOTHING. Four out of Five of the top 5 "Best Matches" for "Mickey Mantle Autograph" are FORGERIES. eBay PROMOTES FORGERIES. Sickening.

Hi

Question. Are you an authenticator? How can you tell from a blurred photo that an autograph is a forgery.

If you are an authenticator how much do you charge. Thanks

Rivahgurl, is that you?  You obviously joined only to post this message, as 2 minutes after you registered for the site you posted this, and it's your only post...

oh and you and rivahgirl are both from Clermont, FL too.

So let me ask you, why did you post blurry photos?

Bob is Rivahgurl's husband (I believe).  Hi Bob, welcome to the forum (her real name isn't Janet - but I won't name her either).

facebook is fun :) Patricia Have you destroyed the forgeries yet ?

   Ace detective work!

Yeah no surprise there.

That's the funny thing about it Bob, they are such horrible well known forgeries that you can see enough to tell they are fake...believe it or not....even with the intentionally blurred photos.

I'm not an authenticator and I don't charge a thing. I have studied Mantle for years and I know enough as does everyone else about these lots of cartoonish forgeries. Mickey with the "PORK CHOP finger point" is a well know forgery pose and rarely if EVER will you see an authentic signature associated with that photo. The same thing applies to the other 2 photos. I hope that sums it up for you Bob.

No, but PSA DNA is and they failed via their quick opinion service mam. But as you can see the top links are dead, thats because ebay pulled them for being a forgeries. So they also agree.

Fork up the $10 and they will tell you its a forgery also. Thanks for signing up and picking this topic to start off in. Hows the weather down in clermont fl

Who would think such an outstanding seller as rivahgirl would make a fake name and then lie on the internet in order to try to distract from the fact she was selling forgeries. Here are some sweet lies patricia claimed here in this topic as she posted under a fake name claiming not to be rivahgirl.

*Shes a lawyer.

*She failed at pulling the "sexist" card pretty badly in order to distract from her selling forgeries.

*she just happened to search google and found this topic... Yup you heard that right she was searching "rivahgirl" on google and stumbled on this topic. And oh yeah she isnt rivahgirl or knows her....she just felt the need to defend another female randomly lol And oh yeah she says she was searching Mantle autographs (cause what girl dont do that on a thursday) and found this topic. Yet I type Mantle autograph in google you know what I get? Not this topic. BUT if I type rivahgirl guess what pops up?You guessed it.

*Lied about being from Brooklyn NY in order to distract from the fact she is in fact rivahgirl from FL. But yeah she is a lawyer who is smarter than everyone.

*Claims she is not rivahgirl and yet its clear she is.

Hi all, I thought I had better come on here an defend good my name.  Janet is my friend who wanted to defend me and she used my computer to do this and Bob is my husband.  I am a 73 year old grandmother who has been trading on Ebay since 1999.  I have 100% rating out of almost 600. My husband bought some pictures with autographs at an auction and asked me to list them on Ebay for him.  I really did not know they were forgeries, I thought they were legit. I listed them one time on Ebay and Ebay told me to take them down because they were listed wrong.  I was told by Ebay to relist them again with different wording so I did.  Unknowing to me even then that they were forgeries.

It was a complete surprise when I found out I had been headlined on your site as selling forgeries. A friend who I sell to notified me that I was headlined on your site. Also, you stated that they were fuzzy and not clear. I took the pictures with my cell phone, so that is why they were fuzzy, no intent intended. I think some of you owe me an apology for calling me a crook. I am not a crook and never have been, just a retired grandmother who is trying to make a living by supplementing my Social Security income by listing on Ebay.  So that is my story, what is yours. I have not intention of listing these items again, they are being destroyed as forgeries. The End.

Sorry but dont believe this for a minute. I think you and Janet are one and the same. And i think that you are making up this grandmother story to try and take some of the blame off of yourself, by trying to use your age is some type of scapegoat. We have seen it here before though, and i think you will have a great deal of trouble finding anyone who believes your story. and good luck getting those apologies.

Again, we arent stupid here, we know whats going on
