sad to see an autograph of jimi so poorly taken care of....

yes. I'm sure it can be authenticated. I have no idea which way it will go, but there seems to be enough there.

This record have been discussed earlier and Roger Epperson gave it the thumbs up. I think we have the answer there.

Hendrix thread.........check

Obscure way of calling a Roger Epperson Hendrix item into question...............check

hmmmmmmmmmmmm........ I wonder who we are dealing with here. A mystery for the ages

No disrespect, Carl, but people have a right to get more opinions other than Roger, and even to question Roger's judgment - even if he may be the best in the business. I'm sure even Roger would acknowledge that.

I am not for one moment questioning Roger's expertise, just that no expert's word should be taken as gospel, and people have a right to get more than one opinion.

no disrespect taken Lofty, and i completely agree. I hope Rogers is a legit guy, and his questions are valid and any authenticator should be questioned. Your 100 percent right. What i meant above, was that this post seems very suspicious and points towards Grant Vanderhoven/Vandersleet   trying to come back yet again under another name. Hopefully thats not what is going on here, but the last 6 times he has tried it, he proceeds in this exact manner. He makes a Hendrix thread and asks for opinions, typically stating that there is no way the item could be authenticated or something of that sort, and yet leaves out that Epperson certed it. Then he hopes others will say its no good, and then he can post about it on his website.  Every time i see a Hendrix thread from a new member, and it involves an item previously opined on by Epperson, i immediately suspect Grant. That isnt a fair practice in theory, but he does this crap so much, i just have come to expect it, as he is desperate to make Epperson and others look bad.

I believe last time he showed up he had taken a Hendrix forgery and superimposed it on a Epperson cert. Or i think thats right, i know Ballroom remembers. So that is what my post was referring too. I may just be over critical though

I feel you Carl, and totally did not take your post as stating Epperson is the only one who can authenticate.  I knew exactly what you were referring to.  That said, this person is not Grant.

Well stated, Lofty. That certainly is the way it should be. Unfortunately, some people don't seem to see it that way.

thank you your opinions are appreciated
