Coach's Corner (www.myccsa.com) is one of the largest monthly auctions of sports autographs, trading cards and memorabilia. They sell non-sports items as well.

  • What's your experience with them?
  • What do you think of their material?
  • If you've sold through Coach's Corner, how happy were you
  • Do you have autographs from Coach's Corner you'd like opinions on?

Let's talk about it!

Richard, they have been riding the same wave for a long, long time with hardly a rough wave.  Why would they stop now.  Every month anywhere between 12-18 Babe Ruth autograph items, 2-4 Beatles signed items (none are ever authentic and they sell for 1/20th of what a authentic one would sell for), etc., etc.

so why aren't more mail fraud complaints being filed, I wonder?

of course, it's perhaps due to the many "unknowing" that buy something there only to find out OMG I've been taken....  Too bad, we can't get them all to come here for a read of some of these blogs/Discussions.!

Hey Cyrkin, how do we get that to happen - your an editor ;-)

In the current auction, they're offering what I consider to be a very poorly done Jim Morrison (or J Noririson?) "autograph." I don't understand why someone would go to the effort of having  something like this elaborately framed. I do realize that it's intended to lend credibility to the autograph, but in this case you'd think they would have thrown it away and tried again.
I see the bid's up to what it's really worth.
Ha ha. They should have taken a picture of the entire frame, because that's what's really being bid on.

There's an Eddie Plank cut sig authenticated by Morales in their April auction. http://myccsa.com/Lot.aspx?LotID=258603

Another Morales mess --- How many Planks are floating out not that many and why consign it too Coach's Commode -- I bet this "Fake" goes for less then $350.00. An Eddie Plank cut went for $8,500.00 @ a Sotheby auction in 2008.

Richard, I believe that is at least the sixth Eddie Plank cut auto that Scott Malack and Lee Trythall of Coach's Corner has put up for auction.  I'd love to see the exemplars that Morales used to "authenticate" yet another Eddie Plank cut auto for Coach's Corner.   Below is another wonderful piece of history "authenticated" by Morales.

Scott Malack and Lee Trythall of Coach's Corner and I beleive it was Lee who responded, "if you don't like out auction, don't bid" was the answer.  Sound advice when you consider they have chosen not to end their relationships with Morales, TTA, STAT and pretty much a wider number of signed non-authentic that get mentioned again and again.

Too bad - a wider net on Mail Frauds couldn't be published to get buyer attention.    It's probably where alot of junk that's been bought winds up going so people can cut their losses.

I noticed more PSA/DNA and JSA than I recall seeing there before.

Here's a pair of Babe Ruth signed and inscribed flannel pants. Has anyone seen any Babe Ruth signed pants before last month's auction in Coach's Corner? These are authenticated by both Morales and Frank Garo...double peace of mind, I guess.......

That's probably a good thing and the only thing that saves their bacon from being and out and out seller of non-authentic items that are signed and represented by a picture of the item.  It's probably where Morales can also buy something change the label and then declare it forensically examinded...    ever notice how some the PSA/DNA, JSA types go for higher prices... then again it presumes they are legit coas.
