Roger Epperson not advertising on this site any longer?

I was going to ask him about checking out an item for me but now I do not see his Signed Sealed /Delivered ad any longer. Anyone know what is up with that?

I don't know if they all do, but some of them certainly do.

It appears that Roger is still a "proud Supporter" of Autograph Magazine Live on http://signedsealeddel.com/ (There is still a banner up on the left side)

Steve may I ask, did Roger not feel like he was getting much traffic to his website through AML? I'm curious if not a lot of people use his quick opinion option because they are getting a free service here from some experts (however some non experts comment too)

I don't know. You'll have to ask him.

Roger is good people. I hope he reconsiders and returns to the board.

Roger is a very valuable authority, especially on rock and roll signatures. One of the best deals around is to use his service for quick opinions. I've always found him to be very straightforward and helpful. With PSA wanting an awful lot of money to authenticate items ($250 for Hendrix is one example), giving Roger $15 or $20 through his site to get his opinion first is well worth it. People who don't realize this seem intent on wanting to kill the goose, and that's a shame.

Roger is a HUGE asset to this site and to the hobby itself.  I really wish he would return but I understand 100%.

We as members REALLY NEED to be careful with what we say.  If we know something for a FACT then state it as a FACT.  What we don't need, is people making comments that they have NO knowledge what so ever on or have heard it from someone else.  We need need to be responsible for what we say. No need to say names - you know who you are.

I do think that there needs to be some sort of membership process, venting or even payment maybe.

I agree. Roger is a good guy.  Especially when it comes to items such as the Beatles. None of the top authenticators are willing to give opinions anymore on anything they didnt sell because of lawsuits.  He was one guy who genuinely tried his best to give inexpensive opinions on expensive items. Now, we're stuck with buying from one of three or four dealers which creates another problem entirely.

The good news is that Roger will still give inexpensive, but expert, opinions. I know this for sure, because I use his quick opinion service whenever I can. I don't think that anyone can blame him for getting burnt out from all of the stones thrown at him in a public forum when he was only trying to help. I hope that at least the majority of the people here know that Epperson is the type of person that this business needs.
