Hello,

Just signed up to this forum to hope to have some opinions on these autographs I have just inherited.

I have sent them off to numinous auctions houses in the U.k and america to hopefully sell there but thought I would ask for your thoughts too.

They are stuck down and have film over them, I'm guessing my grandad did this to prevent them fading if they were on show.

 They are :

- George Harrison

- John Lennon & Paul McCartney

- Group of The Beatles.

Look forward to your opinions on them and would any one recommenced a auction house to sell them through ? as I have no use for them.

Many thanks once again,

Nathan.

Thanks you for that Spaceman, the person who I went to had doubts over the pencil set (as I explained yesterday) and its looking like the pencil set isn't genuine which is a great shame, once I've seen tracks and if they confirm the pencil set isn't genuine it will be going straight in the bin, don't worry I wont try and sell it because that would just be wrong and I understand that.

I am glad to hear that. This site encourages discussion and not everone agrees on certain items presented. The technology is out there to copy anything. Ebay is full of them. The top authenticators will always want to examine the autographs in person. My advice is to seek out the top people. I hope that you prove my concerns wrong.

I've found this website very helpful and I've enjoyed looking at the forums on allsorts of discussions about autographs, just over a very few short days, I'll be honest its opened my eyes massively to how many people are actually out there copying autographs, I cant understand why ?!? well I can because of the money but even so, why ?!? I guess some people don't appreciate autographs and what they about.

I've contacted Tracks and they have told me they have received the scans so no need to go down and Paul will get back in to me this afternoon once his back in the office, so I will update once I receive the email.

From what you found, Spaceman, at least one of the sets is a copy.

Awesome catch spaceman.

Would to like to just add a quick update that Roger Epperson has given his opinion of ' Yes these signatures are authentic

Just waiting on Tracks now.

Thank you again for your opinions and help on this matter.

Nathan,

I'm happy to hear Roger thinks they're genuine. They looked good to me, but I'm nowhere near as good on Beatles as Roger, and not as good as many others on this site.

Of course, authentication by image often can't detect an excellent reproduction. Since there is at least one other copy of the same set out there, your set will need to be seen in person to determine if it's the original or not.

Yes i understand what you mean Steve and agree 100%. Roger has said yes to the pen autographs that I have sent him and still waiting on a response for the pencil set that has yet still to be sent but after seeing what Spaceman has found and hearing off other people off this forum I would be doubtful about the pencil set. That set also has been authenticated by PSA.

I have received an offer for the autographs by Tracks today too which i still need to respond to saying if I accept, which I will be doing no doubt after again hearing off people on this forum it is the place to sell Beatles Autographs.

Good catch, Spaceman. The John and Paul signatures posted at the beginning of this thread are copies.

Nathan,

If it turns out that your Beatles are likely copies, please don't destroy them, at least yet. I'd like to arrange for someone in the U.K. to inspect, investigate and image them, at my cost. That way we'll probably know for sure which ones are the copies, and we should be able to figure out how they're done. It's important to figure out how these are made and how to detect them in the future.

Would you do that please?

Thanks

The John and Paul signatures are an exact match to the ones I posted above.
