My vote is 1.
Not sure if I'm allowed to vote, but I have been following this discussion closely. I appreciate Ballrooms knowledge and expertise very much, but in this case my vote would be "1" as well.

I'm in the same boat. I have read every comment in this and the other JLL thread and have come to the same conclusion:

My vote would be "1", if it counts.

I'm not sure exactly how we will "regret" our decisions...kinda sounds like a threat of some sort.

A threat??? Excuse me? How so?

Then explain what you meant by:

"I truly believe that they will later regret their decision, and I don't want that."

If and when it's proven beyond a doubt that JLL signed the books, how will you feel about your vote and the statements that you've made. Will you be proud of them?

I stand by my vote of 1, because it is an opinion, based on the evidence. IF they are ever proven to be authentic, I will be the first to admit that I was wrong. However, if it was going to be proven, I think it already would have been.  Instead, we get denials from JLL's camp and passing the buck and changing stories about who witnessed JLL signing the books from the publisher. Doesn't seem to add up. Time will tell. If they have proof, I would love to see it.

You didn't think I was issuing a threat though. Did you?

No, but I did think you were trying to discourage people voting 1 by inferering there could be legal action from JLL's people.

Good. I don't have any knowledge of or expectation of any legal action from JLL's people.

If not a threat, it was certainly a warning.

Based on the evidence and arguments made thus far, I stand firmly by my vote. I have been wrong before, and will be the first to acknowledge it if I am proven wrong in this situation.

I wasn't going to write anything in this discussion because I don't have an opinion if these JLL book signatures are authentic or not. I will say that I give a ton of credit to Ballroom by sticking to his opinion in spite of so many people having a differing opinion then his own.

I am sorry also to speak up, but I don't understand the point of the numbering system of your view/opinion on here, when it seems Ballroom has the only differing opinion? It almost seems like a gang up whether he is right or wrong. I personally would like to see a new thread by Ballroom showing photos of authentic examples with all known book examples and what he bases his opinion on and then a seperate thread from the other sude of the debate. I think that would better clarify your thoughts instead of having to go through a hundred posts. Just my opinion for what it is worth.
