I see this site brought up a lot on this site for autograph references.
http://www.rockandrollcollection.com/
problem is, who ever this Stephan is he has a load of forgeries up here too. I get messages from people from time to time saying he has offered to sell a member here an item or two and it is never the real stuff imo, it is usually the fake stuff. Greed. He wants money but doesn't want to part with the good stuff.
Eagles are his most famous work. Attached is a screen shot of his fake work (not limited too). Notice how they are the same..... duh. If you look through his stuff he has loads of fake Zeppelin, Beatles, Springsteen, Stones, Floyd and more. Even the so called authentic Traveling Wilbury's is not real. Maybe the George and Petty are ok but 100% not the Lynne and I'm pretty sure the Dylan is bogus also. Anyway, I don't wish to debat about this guy and his ethics but if you are using him a reference be careful and I wouldn't buy anything from the guy either.

Yes, there's much more in the print edition.
I think this discussion has so many tentacles it is hard to keep up. It may better serve all to start new specific discussions. Eagles, Pink Floyd, etc.
I do believe that stating something was acquired "in-person" is vastly different that acquiring it any other way. That should be the foundation to root out what is good and what may be questionable.
I think everyone has the same goal. The honest truth to the best of our ability.
Mike,
The last two of Stephen's from on the second and third rows are duplicates. Could you please remove one of each? Thanks
Thanks, Mike. I thought there were more than 9 on his site. Am I mistaken?
Correct, I had to omit some because the quality was far too low to grab from the screenshot. If he puts the scans back up I can make a more comprehensive collage.
Hi Mike,
That is useful - thanks! That is what I saw earlier in the thread. I do not understand the density and frequency of these unusual examples, said to be obtained in person and over time, when I can not find any other examples from the period of other in-person collections, or anything else, that are anything like these examples in the second composite - opposite slants, formations so odd in "N" and Nimoy (number of letters), that trailing "y". The negative space in the loops of the "L" appears very unusual.
Eric
Nice comparison Eric, the flip view is very telling.
And here, just the "N" in "Nimoy" which has been mentioned several times. The 4th example (click to see all) on the far right is typical to me. Nimoy has signed for me in person and also while walking (after talking with Christopher Plummer (Chang) and W. Cronkite, after seeing Barrymore in NYC so C. 1995). That signature, black ballpoint on on black glossy paper, also has the typical "L" and "N".
