Wow! PSA got it wrong (might not come as a surprise).

Thank you choosing the QuickOpinion service

Well, I won't say anything about that, but these should be immediately recognizable to any fan as what they are, and the preprint nature is visible on the screen IMO.

5x7's...those inscriptions with no dedications...

Eric.

Ok....not sure if I was just shamed or not...haha

Oh, no, Bradford,

I am sorry - that certainly read wrong...I wrote it wrong is what happened. Apologies. If you had this in hand I seriously doubt you'd think it is hand signed - look at the last scan I posted showing the duo.

Eric

PSA actually got it right, but that didn't help you at all. They are looking at a scan of an item and giving their opinion. When the item is in their hands, they will see it's a stamp, and if the person looking at this item isn't a Trek fan enough to know about the mail away preprints/stamps, the scans will appear to be "likely genuine."

I highly doubt that the Quick Opinion will ever have the reviewer go thru every reference on the signer, they look and they give an opinion based on maybe one reference, (contemporary to the item being reviewed.)

Exactly. Without knowing these preprints on sight, and working from a photo of a photo...these will appear to be "good".

Eric

That makes perfect sense. Thanks for the insight.

I am truly sorry for how my post was written before - I meant no offense, Bradford.

Eric

Hello again,

Here is my "full" Shatner/Kirk alongside one of the preprints in 8x10 (you have a different version than this, an example of which can be seen closing November 8, 2015):

Eric

Very helpful....

Hello,

I noticed this photo is perfect for showing what these really look like in hand (this is your Shatner variant - click to see entire image). The flat finish, indent (this is a stamp really) and color of the "d" in Leonard" is quite accurate - the rest looks too blue here:

I thought it was funny, Eric! I didn't take it personally brother. Thanks so much for your insight my friend!
