Star Wars The Force Awakens Premier London December 16th poster and signatures

I have purchased a Star Wars The Force Awakens poster with most major signatures  Harrison Ford,  Mark Hamill,  Adam Driver, Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Lupita Nyongo, Gwendoline Christie and JJ Abrams from someone who was at the European premier on 16th December.  They are sending photos as well with the poster. I will need to get the signatures authenticated.  Fortunately if they were found to be forged I will be able to get my money back as Ebay and paypal do not tolerate this.  I paid £175.  There is a photo with Harrison Ford the person took at the premier as well on the ebay page.

I don't have much to add to this, other then to ask don't you think the fact it says "obtained in person" would at the very least be a lie by the seller to defraud a buyer? Also don't you think the fact he said he has another buyer lined up shows he isn't honest when it comes to reselling a forgery or at the very least do HIS own due dilligence before selling a forgery again?

I do understand a bit where you are coming from, but the feedback process only exists for others to utilize. The point of the feedback is for the next person to read and gather information on whether the last transactions were pleasant or not. If i felt I was being defrauded (or a fast one was trying to be put over me) then I would make sure to do my place in leaving feedback that reflected that fairly for the next buyer.

Exactly.

Not giving a negative feedback in this instance would be a freeroll (ie. a situation with no downside and a possible upside) for the villain.

Yeah, like bankrobbers not being charged if they catch them and get the money back.

As long as they say they're sorry Steve! Wouldn't want to leave them negative feedback.. Let them go to the next bank.

Surprised Terry G. would defend this seller of forgeries. This lady would have bought a forgery and would not have known if it wasn't for this great site! Why did the seller sell it so cheap if he didn't know? And sure how was he to know it would sell at any certain price etc. blah blah blah! You can make all the educated sounding excuses you want. That's how slimey lawyers get people off murder raps or people get away drunk driving because of AFLUENZA!

The problem is that many times I've seen sellers refund money once an item is returned after being certed as a forgery. Often the seller then relists it even though they know it's a fake.

In this case the seller tried to mislead and deserves a negative both to warn other buyers to be careful and to warn the seller that they lied and are punished.

Buyers have to be more careful but so many sellers pray on mum and dads and amateurs to make huge money. The only way to help clean up the hobby is to warn others when you are sold a fake through leaving negative feedback.

I left negative feedback just stating refund given had to pay return postage and signatures were fake. The annoying thing is the return postage cost me nearly £6.00 and as a refund was given ebay will probably say even though the seller should pay for the return postage nothing can be done.

Good for you linda,at least you didn't get taken in big time with a forgery! Unfortunately somebody else will eventually.

Terry, Terry, Terry. Tell me you don't operate this way in real life. Hopefully you've already realized the direction you were headed took you somewhere you never intended to go.

Ha!  After all of that discussion.  Good for you Lynda.  May the Force be with you.

Two things. Lynda, I'm glad you got your money back. And too bad it wasn't authentic, because £175 would have been a steal for something like that.
