I purchased this Paul McCartney from a member of this site.  I listed this item on ebay and it was removed stating it was not considered authentic. Before I submit this to PSA/DNA, JSA, or Roger Epperson, I would like some of your opinions. I've never had a problem like this before. Thanks.

Stunned eBay actually removed something -- as there are literally 1000s of forgeries on there now that are not even close to authentic.

Joe, imo I don't like the way the P looks. I also don't like how the A doesn't flow into the U. It looks like it is hesitated. I also have never seen the "McCartney" written so close underneath the Paul to where the C's in McCartney start to overlap into the Paul. That is just my opinion. Sorry.

No problem. I appreciate your opinion. I just want the truth to come out on this signature. If I get nays or yahs, that's fine. Just looking for which direction I need to go with this one. Back to sender or to a third party.

And there's no trailing of the paraph. It just stops...it doesn't get lighter.

Go to the person who sold it to you and ask how he'd like to handle it...sooner the better. It's not a blatant forgery, so he may have been fooled himself.

I would like as many knowledgeable opinions on this one as possible. Circa 1997 or 98 signature. I don't want to go to a TPA unless it appears worth it. But, don't want to rush to judgement either.

I've seen worse.  I think it has some positives. I would spend the 15 bucks and get Roger's quick opinion.

I wouldn't be comfortable buying this one.

neither would I

Thanks everyone. I have sent it to Roger for a quick opinion. As I said, it was purchased from a member of this site who has a great reputation. And was told to me it was obtained by him in-person. So, let's see how this quick opinion works out.

I agree. The biggest thing that bothers me is that there was no trailing on the underline. The M is atypical, so that is a concern, but Paul seems in the range of possibility to me.
Who did you buy it off?
At this point, I think Joe should keep that between himself and the seller until he figures out what's going on.
