It's not one I'm comfortable with.

what do you think?????????????

Absolutely fake, no question.

Why do you think its fake Steve????

Train wreck comes to mind.

What do you think, John?

Thank you,for all of your thoughts!! It's actually a real signature.

I acquired it from a good friend.Who,I know for a fact, purchased it, personally from Mickey Mantle,@ the 1st Raritan Center Baseball Card Show. Held in Edison, NJ on March 31st, 1990.

John,

Did Mantle sign it drunk on a crowded escalator?

Is it a forgery?

Only your friend, and perhaps you, know for sure.

I'm not as good as many others here on Mantle, but one thing that I know for sure is that the one you posted will always be a Mantle that few, if any, knowledgeable collectors would want. Even if they were sure it was good.

This community is here to protect and educate collectors and help conscientious sellers do the right thing. Members thank conscientious sellers by telling collectors about sellers who they think put collectors first.

Admittedly, that doesn't please everybody.

So if some of our members have infuriated you, take comfort that you're not alone.

Lol. No, Steve.I don't believe he did.He was in a lot of pain that day. That much,I do know. What's wrong with the sig Steve? Enlighten me.And Why wouldn't someone want it? What is it,about the auto that you don't like? And infuriated? No.Not at all. It's all good.

P.S This Mantle ball is mine. I'll never have to worry about selling it.

All I've heard is how fake the mantle is.Could someone tell me,why they think its fake?

John, I'll tell you why I think this is fake. Let's put aside the shakiness and oddly shaped letters (more than one). The tle at the end of Mantle is the completely wrong angle for each letter. Even if he was supposedly in pain, that doesn't explain the slant and angle of three consecutive letters being off.

John, I didn't say it was fake. I said I wasn't comfortable with it. Why? Because any collector that bought it would go through heck trying to sell it for more than a few bucks. I admit that I don't trust it, though.
