that's very disappointing Wascher, she/he was such a valued member of this site.  We will miss he/she/it.

Hihi

Thanks, Wascher

Peggy,

There are no posts from my supposed ex-friends or ex-wife on the internet about me that I have seen. There are posts by anonymous people so desperate to destroy the reputations of Autograph Live, others and me that they'll say and do anything to try to achieve that goal.

I have emails between certain people that will make your skin crawl...well maybe not YOURS. Even one where one party is talking about "trashing" my daughter! She has nothing to do with the autograph field. She's a gradeschool teacher.

Emails where they're trying to figure out who could post something on RipoffReport for them, so it didn't show as being uploaded from their state.

Email after email where they're scheming about and writing anonymous articles filled with defamatory content.

But I have a feeling you've relished every one you've seen.

Gio, even though I suggested Roger, I agree with Steve. PSA is probably right about this. It probably is not authentic. It's just that with PSA's quick opinion, you're really don't know who looked at it, but with Roger, you do know. Plus, I think Roger is pretty good with MJ.

Goodpoint, James. Yes, Roger has alot of experience authenticating Michael Jackson autographs.

I recognize the M and L...that's it. Thanks for posting that.

Never thought an authentic Michael Jackson could look like that! Things aren't always picture perfect. Thanks for sharing.

Yes, thanks for sharing. It's an important reminder that autographs really can vary depending on circumstances. I would not have thought yours to be real either, but I believe your story.

Lots of things can go into an anomaly signature. I'm sure he felt rushed, and as you say the after-show adrenaline was kicking in. Also, if he was standing while holding the album with one hand while signing with the other, the album could have tilted while he was signing it. That definitely could lead to an unusual looking sig. Now if he had been sitting at a table, you probably would have a more "normal" looking sig.
All possible. I am not a Michael Jackson student and never
Put too much thought into his signatures as I already had one that I obtained in person myself. Some may not like the autograph and that is fine, I'm not trying to prove anything to anyone specific. Healthy debate is good and helps expand knowledge within the hobby. I've been collecting for 30 years and have obtained many in person signatures that didn't look like the normal versions. Signatures vary depending on situations. Now would I buy this album if offered to me, no way. I agree the signature is a mess. I keep it as a momento of that great day, and have had many offers I've turned down over the years.
Sorry, but to me that's a story that is not verified by any means at this point. And the autograph is a complete mess. So there is no way that this autograph should be considered genuine.

Not calling you a liar, Dan...just saying.

I agree.  There wouldn't be anyone in authenticating that should give it a thumbs up because it looks nothing like his autograph, and authenticating is based in part by being able to "see" some of the genuine landmarks we look for in his auto.   In fact, I tried to make out letters (any of his normal letters) and I can't figure out at all whats going on with it.  The only letter I see is the M.  I also see what appears to be a regular L ? which his is usually the large circle that goes around and through his first name.  The M and humps all lean slightly right too which is not normal at all.  The J actually looks like a giant cursive G as well--something I've never seen him do.  This is a train wreck. If anyone would ask me if I thought this was legit (and he is all I study) I'd say "pass".
