I can't speak for the autograph. But this would be a very difficult item to forge. The signature would be the easiest. The thing about checks, they pass through allot of hands when they are cashed. Both in person and automated. It's very hard to fake the stamps, automated markings, cerations and ink. It would take some extreme effort to replicate. A little research should lead you to any red flags regarding the document itself. There are people far more learned than me who can comment on the signature.

It's one of the reasons I hate when these signatures are cut. It's the document and all the detail that can provide provenance.
There used to be a money forger that would dip an impression from coffee onto paper and then paint the details over the stains. He was a master.
So he lifted the details of the bill with coffee.

This was some sort of reverse resist technique?

That's a very cool piece, Joey. Did Phil Sears authenticate it?

Back to Walt, has it been authenticated.
Yes very funny reply from Ninger- Eric.
I apologize. I thought it was a question of authenticity. Just don't cut it up. I'm so tired of seeing great documents cut.
What a signature. Wowza!

+1 Less is...less. I hate seeing cut items although I don't think that was intended here.

Eric

This is his work.

Love it! "When asked why he omitted the Bureau of Engraving and Printing credit on his bills, Ninger responded, "Because dey [sic] didn't make dem [sic]."

Eric

That is crazy. Someone with that talent could probably make So much more money doing things other than forging. All those as* hats who make a living with a sharpie and some Mantle photos should be ashamed on two levels. They aren't even truly talented in the fraternity of a** hats.
