Remember this Paul McCartney signature we had a discussion about? Ebay removed the original listing as a forgery. Well, I submitted it to Roger Epperson and he issued a LOA on it. I relisted it on ebay and they just removed it again! Guess I now own a Paul McCartney that will be tainted no matter what. Another life lesson learned the hard way.

I wouldn't let Ebay's ridiculous policies make you feel like your McC signature is tainted. if anything is tainted its Ebay.

I agree with Terrier!!!

It is Ebay who is tainted!!!

They allow and encourage the listing and selling of mass-produced forgeries with worthless COAs from Stephen Rocchi and his Guaranteed Forensic Authenticators group!!!

What a freaking bad joke!!!!

Sorry to hear that Joe.

I thought it was the wild wild west on eBay...every man for himself...

I didn't know they actually patrolled their autograph sites...

Do you think this happened on a complaint or eBay staff initiating the action ??

Here is their explanation.

"- After careful consideration, your listing has been removed because it didn? comply with our policies. We received a report concerning the authenticity of your item. These reports can come from a number of channels, for example law enforcement. This removal was for your safety and the safety of the eBay community, so please do not relist your item.Relisting your item may result in the restriction of your account."

They also restricted my seller account for seven days.

I really break even overall and don't sell to support myself or my family. I recently retired and thought I would do this because I enjoy the hobby. Perhaps I should find another form of entertainment. Geez.

I would also agree with Roger on this one. Macca can be tough and I've seen this happen before. In fact, I purchased a Macca signature that was also removed from eBay, apparently for authenticity concerns. It was subsequently authenticated by JSA. I don't consider it to be tainted.

I posted to yesterday that look like this, one had a psa and the other didn't. The psa one looked in worse shape than this, not that yours is bad.

A funny related story. A few years back I had an Alfred Hitchcock listed on ebay. It was removed by them. I later received an email that stated they were interested in the Hitchcock. I informed them that ebay removed the item and why. They said they thought it was authentic and still wanted to purchase it. I sold it to them and guess where it went? RR Auctions! Life has some weird twists and turns sometimes.

How does jsa rack up on ebay? The roger works for them.

You may have to get a jsa coa , if ebay take that companies credibility, coa .

I'm done with this McCartney. I can't risk losing my ability to sell to make a point. Sometimes it's just best to let it go and move on. Maybe someday I will sell it somewhere else. Or keep it as a reminder to stay away from certain signatures. Someone out there doesn't value Mr. Epperson's opinion very well and whoever it is has some clout with ebay. It get an email from someone in Germany asking about the date of signing. Any big name Beatle's experts there?

Yes, A member here is from that part of the world. He is up on the Beatles I believe.
