Hello all -

This came from a Donald Trump rally in SC and was curious what you thought of it.  A 3rd party authenticator said it was not good.  I am not an expert on Trump so I have no clue.

What are your thoughts?

thanks!

it looks like JSA is not an expert on Trump either.

I was at a signing event just a couple weeks ago with my son. It drew a good crowd because Adrian Gonzalez was singing, which apparently he does not due often.

Talking to all the other in person collectors while in line, there seemed to be a consensus that JSA is inconsistent, even with sport autographs. They see questionable items for sale with a JSA cert, while an item they send in which was signed in front of them gets rejected.

It's hearsay, I have never personally sent anything to a third party. But that seems to be the general consensus.

I've seen enough of them to know I don't like or trust them. Too much interest in raking in money quickly and aggressively and not enough in sound practices that are good for the hobby. Their authentication means almost nothing to me personally.

A member just posted 4 Trump-signed military hats he purchased on eBay that he'd like input on. If you know Trump's autograph, please let him know what you think, thanks:

I am not familiar with his signature to make any call what so ever.. sorry

Here's a PSA/DNA Trump $2 posted in the discussion with the 4 hats:

Wish I could this many replies on my Trump signed hat discussion posted today.  I have two of these I just bought with JSA COA on eBay, yours looks the same as mine.  My 4 military signed hats by Trump are not legit according to PSA QUICK OPINION, however former Marine is seen in You Tube video with camo hat on.  Trump was in a rush.

This discussion has been up since April 27, Russell. Give it a little time. You bought these on eBay, probably through PayPal, so you should be protected--although it's always best to get opinions first.

Notice how the signature tends to get progressively smaller on Mark's and your PSA $2 bill. That's a common Trump characteristic. I'm not saying it's there every time, but it's what I've mostly seen.

But PSA/DNA and JSA can both get it wrong. Sometimes it's their mistake and sometimes the autograph is to atypical. Since all 4 of yours are what I'd consider similarly atypical, that does make me suspicious.

If they are fake the guy on eBay is really going out of his way to tell me they are not.  I didn't pay that much for them, he can be seen in youtube video at mesa rally wearing a camo hat.  It's definitely him, saw his facebook page, big guy.

here is a email he sent me about this matter:

Before you go calling someone out for fake autographs you should do your research I'm the number 3 provider of autographed comics in the country. Signed stuff is what I do. It's all I do. It's my business. Look at my ebay name I'm sure you can figure out my website and Facebook page. I come with references bud. No I don't know anything about your little companies that you use for Signature Authentication but if they're telling you these are not legit they're completely full of s***. You ever think that maybe they just don't want to do it because he's running for president and they don't want to be liable?

Not the way I'd respond. Not quite warm and fuzzy. I don't see "I understand your concerns, (actually, please elaborate on what exactly is troubling you), but I saw this signed myself. Please look at my feedback and also compare my item to these known exemplars linked  here XXX, and let me know your thoughts..."

I don't like the sigs.

The response says a lot though.

Eric

Thank you, all replies so far have me leaning towards the same conclusion.  Think maybe I want these to be real more than I want to accept that they are not.
