One seller said to me the item has been delivered and what is this an army base because ive sent six items to this address. Its called a Global shipping program.

That item is actually free to anyone using paypal,  if they are actual dirtbags.

All the buyer has to do is claim they didn't receive it.

Without signed for tracking, the seller loses every damn time.

There's a few scumbags around.
That crap isn't on. That's why it's so expensive.

As with most things, a few bad apples ruin it for everyone else.

I do not sell other than a rare extra here or there, but there is no way I would send anything anywhere without tracking that protected me from liability.

About 15 years ago a scammer buyer ripped me off for a Fantastic Four #1 due to a loophole in the Paypal Seller protection. The scammer knew the rules and played me. I lost the comic and the money.

Ain't gonna happen again.

Pete and/or Steve...or Paul, on a PayPal to PayPal deal, is the seller protected by using signature confirmation?

If the method you use to send can be tracked online and a signature is required for delivery.....that is what ebay and paypal expect as proof from the seller.

Unless payment was made by a stolen credit card, you are safe sending with signature tracking.

That's still your most reliable method of sending an item! The stork will fly again!

Unfortunately, there is a high cost for worldwide shipping. Ebay's GSP is the best way to protect buyers and sellers if a problem arises. Think of it this way, many items on Ebay being offered using GSP would not be offered internationally if the program did not exist. It gives you opportunities that would not otherwise exist. Just consider the additional cost before purchasing.

So i bought the 8x10 photo and shipping was 15 us dollars a far cry from 45 dollars for the autograph piece of paper and its still has tracking on it usps priority mail. Thats a huge difference one with gsp and the other without.

It has to be the insurance that bumps the price up.

That tracking (in my experience) stops the minute the package leaves the USA.

Once it is lands overseas, the country receiving it may or may not use it as a Customs number.

They might even scan it as a "tracking" number. The less than honest buyer will likely still be able to claim that they didn't receive the package.

and once again the seller loses.

I see, Australia used to have that service track until it left the country, but the post stopped it, most likely because of dishonest people. Its tracked all the way these days.
Well its a cheaper option between friends if people want to use it.
If i purchase a item of ebay using the gsc, where i pay tax on a item over 1000 dollars, i ask who fills out the custom card because most people mark it as a gift to dodge the tax man.

My Layne Staley photo arrived, it was 30 dollars cheaper than ebay's global shipping and purchased 2 days after laynes signature cut, which still hasn't arrived yet. It also had tracking on the photo, so no one could say it hasn't been delivered.

So much for ebays global program, its a rip off.
