PSA/DNA, JSA and a Yardbirds Signed Promo Card - Who Got It Right?

I purchased this Jimmy Page and Jeff Beck signed Yardbirds promo card and sent it to PSA and received a letter stating that “in our opinion, it is not authentic and did not pass PSA/DNA authentication.” I then sent it to JSA and it was authenticated. I also received the following opinions:

Roger Epperson (via his Quick Opinion service) – Authentic
Bonhams – Authentic
Tracks UK – “Definitely authentic”

I contacted PSA, but wasn’t able to get any specific details as to why it failed authentication. I’d like to be confident that I have an authentic Yardbirds-era Jimmy Page signature, but the PSA result is a bit of a concern. Any thoughts?

The only one I feel comfortable commenting on of the two is Jeff Beck, and I think it looks good. The Jimmy style I dont feel comfortable enough to say, cause I haven't seen enough like that one.

Both Tracks and Epperson have given it a thumbs up...that's plenty good...

Although it would be nice to have unanimous consensus I don't think you have a thing to be concerned about...

Why worry?
In a case like this I wouldn't care about PSAs opinion at all.
Epperson, Bonhams & Tracks are better with music than PSA.

They are early signatures, that's why they must of had trouble with them. Epic fail.

Page looks spot-on. I don't know Beck well. If Epperson and Tracks like it, I wouldn't worry about it. JSA probably used Epperson, who they're supposed to ask on classic and rare rock.

Thanks for the replies. I was told by a PSA rep that my item was reviewed by "multiple professional authenticators." I was also given the opportunity to go double or nothing by resubmitting the item at the full authentication fee. If two or more authenticators agree that one or both signatures aren't authentic, I don't understand how there could be any possibility of a change of opinion in such a short period of time.

Seems to me like a possible cash grab on their part. They don't even say if Steve Grad saw it? He would be the only one there I would trust.

There was no mention of Grad and the rejection letter is unsigned. I don't think the response was specific to my item. It seemed more like a standard response to that type of inquiry.

If you consigned the item to rr auctions, then you could get a psa for it.
Hi there,I just got back on Autograph live, anyway the Yardbirds played my uncles high school prom in Cincinnati Ohio in April 1968, my uncle and his girlfriend and another student were the only ones that got to meet them, The whole band sign his prom program in which I own now and I know for a fact your signature matches the one that I own and yours is REAL!!!!
Thanks. I saw your Yardbirds set and it's really nice. Congrats on owning such a great piece.
Thanks, I forgot I posted that a few years back,I've been off the sight for a year or so,glad to be back and you got to compare your Jimmy Page with mine as you saw the Signatures are identical,I ALWAYS Trust Roger on the Music Autographs
