I am hoping someone here can help me out. I have this signed photo and have been searching to figure out which concert tour or era this picture was taken. Any clues would be most appreciated.

Understood.

I have to say that if authentication becomes so challenging that even experts (both the self-proclaimed or universally accepted types) cannot reach a consensus on a modern day pop star with values in the hundreds rather than thousands then the interest can begin to wane a bit. We see it with the Beatles too of course but there is a bit more at stake there. Odd that this kind of discussion seems to happen with some artists (e.g. Hendrix) more than others (e.g. the Stones).

Did you get a reply from Roger on it yet?
I'm curious about this one too.
Anne- don't you own a Madonna you could put in the study?

Hi, yes I do a but I'm having some trouble accessing my photos on my computer.  I have been trying for a couple of days and I can't seem to get it. I'm definitely not great with the computer .  lol  , I'll keep trying  : )

Joe W,

You didn't know this, but we rarely close discussions here so I reopened it.

It's an interesting discussion. My vote would be not genuine on this.

Hi Steve, can you tell me why because I see that type even at Juiiene's and other auction houses.

Anne Marie, I'm certainly not as good as Roger on her, but I don't like a number of the letter shapes and I feel it lacks speed and spontaneity.

Ok, I guess I am just not seeing the difference.  It's a hard one because of the ones I see being auctioned.

100% Correct....this signature has a lack of spontaneity and flow is different...Madonna's handwriting is sharper and has more points....THIS FAKER has been doing this example for the last 10 years even on newer images...whereas Madonna's writing has changed loads esp in the last few years to script like signature....he even signed items in last few tours saying he met her backstage and presents tour programmes on ebay for the new tour with that fake signatures and people pay up to $500...$600....he has sold pages of the SEX book signed by himself for up to $2000 through auctions sites....I know he has made over $100,000 easy

It's a shame this person does not get removed from eBay and other auction sites.. They are just left to make money and rip off good, decent people with fake items.

At least this great site and people can help to educate and make sure it does not happen to others.

Thank you for your expertise Kamran.
