Yes, they cancelled an order with a bunch of signed book pre-orders. Didn't even get notified and when I found out they gave me some BS reason.

Several sellers are asking $1k and one even had it for $1.5k. This is going to be interesting with these flippers.

Hopefully they mass produced and flippers will barely break even lol.

Isn't it always like this? Amazon just sold out. There's always some flippers aiming at the collectors who missed out. Then there's the Xmas craze right after release. Prices will go down in January, then we'll see at what value these will hold.

Promised Land seems to have stabilised around $500-$600 on eBay. My guess is this book ends up in the $800 range if it's about as limited as the Obama book.

It might seem now that there's a lot available, but it's a high priced item. There will always be collectors who don't have the money now who come looking for this later.

Out of stock now at Amazon. So maybe no cancel... (still I have some doubts...)

Just placed my order on the Target app. They took the money from my debit right away. So I hope there’s no cancellation issues. I somehow trust target more than I trust BAM or B&N.

With credit card orders they usually place a temporary authorization, and then release it until it ships. Debit cards may be different though. Sounds like there will be plenty of these so hopefully all of us ordering today will be good.

I hope so! I’m just worried because many collector’s order has been cancelled. And Amazon is sold out so I’m not sure if there’s enough for everyone. I know Target was one of the last stores to announce the item, maybe that’s why they still have them in stock? Either way, they have my money so I’ll expecting something legit.

Didn't expect Amazon to sell out "already" tbh.

Same. Gives me hope that it’s somewhat an exclusive book.

For anyone outside of the US interested in this, I pre-ordered one from Powell's Books and they seem to have a flat rate for international standard shipping.

$7 US for shipping to Japan is very reasonable, I'm used to paying a lot more for shipping.

"International" = Barely 10 countries :'D
