Let's reserve this thread for any non-musician signed books and other items, at least until a dedicated forum exits for those posts.

It's not FOMO, I really don't mind missing some things, and to be honest, I am more into musicians autographs, and Nov was a very busy month. I am not active in this thread/mini-forum, and just look here every once in a while. Last month I did buy 2 books from non-musician: Michael Mcintyre and Jack Whitehall's family, last one is signed by the whole family. I'm very happy with the books and autographs.

I'm just thinking about the practical part when you need to continue a discussion about an item that has some problem, luckily there are not that many pre-orders here. Personally I find this thread unreadable. The discussion we are having now for example, will be very hard to be continued in a few days, when a page or two are added due to new releases.

Also, I'm wondering how many people are actually following this thread, as you also follow all discussions, even if you did not order the product.

Just found the following forum, which is completely empty:
https://live.autographmagazine.com/forum/categories/historical-auto...

I found what you said to be the same for me. I don't do a lot of books either and wasn't going to say anything because of that. I do follow this thread but rarely look at it any more because I am kind of lost. I was hoping at some point there could be individual threads per book which would be much easier to keep up with. Because there are a few here and there I would be interested in.

As I understand it, that was the compromise we made because of what happened in the Grohl topic and a few others -- some people complained that they were being swamped with notifications over what was perceived to be extraneous discussions (over shipping/availability et al.), and this was the decision. And yet, there's still complaints over not having separate topics.

You can never please anyone. I will say, though, that I find this catch-all topic far easier to keep track of than the separate threads -- cuts down on me having to click through new topics to find discussions of note. If the email notifications bother you, click "Stop Following" under the main post.

Has anyone actually received a refund back to PayPal for the Michael J Fox signed books from Anderson Bookstore? My friend and I are both fighting for our refunds. I was sent an email from Ginny on November 23rd stating my refund went through. I sent an email questioning the refund but they havent responded so far. If you bought this book and requested a refund, check to make sure they actually did refund. Dont trust their email

I didn't even check mine, I'm horrible at keeping up with that stuff. Thanks for the reminder I'll have to check mine.

I haven’t seen the refund yet. Ginny responded initially to confirm my refund request and I followed up a few days ago after still not getting anything. She said they had refunded it but could take 30 days to show up because I paid with PayPal.

I was wondering if that was normal, been a while since I’ve gotten refunded on PayPal transaction. Doesn’t seem like it should take forever.

Neither my friend nor I have ever had to wait that long for a refund on PayPal. That seems really strange. But ok, as long as others are aware of this as well, ill give it more time. thanks for your response.

Yeah, I’m going to give it a little longer I guess. Good to know it’s not just me too.

They told me that it would take up to 30 days as well. I thought that sounded like bull but I looked up on PayPal and it says the following-

  • Credit card (including PayPal Credit): your refund will go to your credit card. It may take up to 30 days for the refund amount to appear on your card statement. If the card was canceled or you paid with a prepaid card, contact the card issuer to access your refund. The money will still be sent to this card account.

Good to know, thanks…I was looking for that a minute ago

That's the time it takes from PayPal to card. It should still show up in your PayPal account right after it's been issued.

I'm still waiting too and am considering a PP claim. We shouldn't have to chase this.

Yeah, I was wondering why it wouldn’t at least be showing in PayPal at this point. Their timeline of 30 days does appear to describe time to card.
