Hi can anyone verify if this is a legit signature? Supposedly signed locally for charity.  Thanks!dylan.jpg

That is not Dylan's manager who signed the supposed LOA -- plus I wouldn't buy that signature as it looks slowly drawn and not authentic. Dylan RARELY donates to charity auctions anymore except his sister-in-laws.

Thanks I appreciate your input and knowledge

I have a signed Dylan CD insert that I purchased directly from Roger Epperson. In addition to that provenance, it passed JSA authentication earlier this year. The item previously had gone through the Heritage Auction system. It also originated from the Dylan Music Co and was accompanied by a letter signed by Matt Arkin on behalf of a family charity.

I hesitate to render an opionion on this book, but hope the history of my authentic Dylan piece helps shed some light.

Correct that isn't Bob's mgnr

It almost looks like this Matt Arkin signed both. His K in Arkin and L in Dylan have similar style, like he's got trouble signing upward letters.

The signature doesn't look legit to me. And I agree with Jason - appears to be signed by the supposed Mr. Arkin dude. What a crock of sh*t these guys pile on.

I bought a copy of Lyrics (1963–2020) at a charity auction organized by a close relative of Dylan, for an NGO that helps patients with a particular disease (which also affects another close relative of Dylan). I was in contact with the family member who runs this charity, asking them some questions as well, and they seemed very kind. I find it very hard to believe that Dylan or his office would deceive their own family.

I mention this because the book came with a certificate of authenticity also signed by Matt Arkin, whom I googled after receiving the package—and that’s how I came across this thread. I’d feel a bit uncomfortable contacting this person to say that the letter the book came with raises suspicions (because it would be like accusing them of profiting from their connection to Dylan), but if anyone has any suggestions, they’re welcome.

Post the signature. It's all in the ink/signature. Post the COA too.

Signed book and letter. The auction where I acquired it was this one:

(I mean, that's from 2015, but they do it every year, with a few signed items by Dylan and other's musicians as well)

Here's my recent Dylan autograph from one of his artworks if it helps at all

I sent an email to Jeff Rosen and I got this reply (he answered quicker than I expected, to be honest):

If you purchased it from that charity auction, I am very sure that it is authentic.

I am feeling better now
