I have obtained an alleged signature on a WWII German postcard of Hitler.  I have trying to find a generally accepted expert on his signature. I have contacted over a dozen prominent dealers in German WWII militaria and no two of them can agree on an expert.  I have submitted it to JSA who states it is a fake.  Normally, I would stop there.  However, two German militaria dealers who have dealed with AH's signture many times in the past claim that it is real.  I sent a scan to the Academy of Manuscript and Autograph run by Jack De Verona Jr. and they say it is likely authentic.  The dealer I bought it from - I have used him in the past and he has always given me a refund on autographs that could not be authenticated - believes it is also real.

So, my question to the forum - I have attached three images of the signature, postcard, and back of the postcard - what do you think.  JSA made no negative mention of the ink or paper as being part of their rejection.  Question two - anyone have any names of someone who I could contact concerning AH signatures.  One last point - I am collecting this signature for purely historical reasons.

Any help would be greatly appreciated?

I've never heard of the Academy of Manuscript and Autograph (AMA) ever state that anything is not authentic.

Thanks.  Point well taken.

Send a private message to John Reznikoff. Perhaps he can assist.

Have done that.  No help.  I believe he works for PSA.

Good one.  My compliments.

Thank you.  I have determined that the photo of AH and his signature are from the late 1930s.  I too have collected dozens of exemplars of his signature from official documents.  There are always some minor variation.  This is what makes his signature so difficult to authenticate.  Appreciate your opinion and effort.  Thanks.
