Neil Aspinall Signed Beatles Fan Club Card from eBay Seller daufuskieplace

I think this eBay listing is pretty interesting. It looks to me like an obvious full set of Neil Aspinall secretarial signatures, including the Ringo. Here’s the description:

Rare Beatles fan club card signed.

I am implicitly not stating that the Beatles themselves actually signed this, as every time I list this item, someone always contacts eBay stating that this item other than Ringo Starr,who they say is an authentic signature, was signed by Neil Aspinall, the Beatles manager. I believe these signatures to be authentic, but wont guarantee. In photo gallery I include amazing provenance,of whom I purchased item from,and proof of that purchase, if needed I will provide proof that I am who Louis mentioned he sold this item too. Please keep in mind that this Card was given to Louis Sr., when the Beatles did the Ed Sullivan Show in 1963.

Please do your diligence, I also am enclosing 4 photos of signatures released from Apple Corp., for you to compare mine too in photo gallery.

Card is framed , with Tru-View, UV protected glass

The “amazing provenance” is a LOP from the original recipient’s son stating that his father Louis obtained the signatures while working on the Ed Sullivan show along with a 12/9/80 newspaper article with a pic of Louis and John Lennon in 1964.

While the seller states that they can’t guarantee the authenticity of the signatures, the starting price is a whopping $5,100.

Well, it's only about the 4th time he has tried, with a Best Offer, no offers/bids and no returns. ;-)

Were they genuine, with Tracks or Frank this item would be worth so much more.

After that many tries, you would think that the seller would try to have it authenticated. Perhaps they did and ignored the results.

The backstory is classic nonsense. Most likely it's all true in each of its components, but they don't add up to proof.

Louis Sr. was working on the Ed Sullivan Show when the Beatles appeared on the show, he "obtained" the card then, and he was photographed with John Lennon in 1964.

There is no specific anecdote that he got the card signed himself, and meeting JL a year later means nothing to this item.

And on top of all that, the stories were being recalled by the original recipient's son.

I can imagine an assistant or Aspinall himself handing out a stack of these to placate the predictably large number of fans who would ask for an autograph.
