I responded to the above question about whether the Babe Ruth cut in the OP might be authentic.  I linked a similar one that RR recently handled but here is the RR image itself in it's PSA encapsulation.  The OP and this RR one are look extremely similar.  Have others who know Ruth's signature seen cuts like these out there that look so very close?

Has the one you posted been examined by a TPA?   As I said, I'm not a Ruth collector....I was just struck by these two side by side!

I was reminded of this OP Babe Ruth earlier today for some reason.  I was wondering if there is any possible update to share from the Facebook baseball group examination?

Hi Eddy, it actually turned out that the baseball FB group will not offer an opinion on pre-war autographs, so I submitted it to another group, Historical Autographs. I have attached a link to the final conclusion regarding this Ruth. I think you'll find it very interesting! and again, thanks for your interest!

I'm not a member of the group and didn't know about it.  Thanks for putting me onto it with the link.  I sent a request in and can't access the thread at the moment.  I'll have to see if they approve me!  I'm not a big social media guy so that's probably why I never connected before.

I went down a rabbit hole with some other Ruth material earlier today and that's why I remembered this one from last month.

I don't think this is real but I'm not a pro on Ruth.

Don't buy any Ruth without getting a top authenticator's opinion. An online opinion from BAS at least.

There are sensational forgeries, some from forgers who got away with it for years, and still are in some cases.
