It's a first come first served. The signed copies will be allocated in chronological order based on the date and time of purchase. So it's not guaranteed you will get a signed one.

EDIT: It's presumed to be SOLD OUT.

Lucky you. I went to my Barnes & Noble tonight and looked through the 20 books they had, no luck. I will have to see if I can try another Barnes and Noble store further away tomorrow.

No luck at the other Barnes & Noble. This one had their 17 unsigned copies in one spot (unlike the other which had them scattered in 3 different areas).

Thanks for the suggestion, hit three B&N in Maryland. Found two stickered, three unstickered. Asked for and got extra “signed by author” stickers.

Just tried the Daytona Beach B&N, no luck, they had a bunch set up on a table and didn’t see any on the shelf.

Just tried my 2nd B&N in Nashville area, about 25 on the front table but none signed. Didn’t see them elsewhere in store.

Glad I am not the only one that struck out. I wonder how many B&N stores actually mixed the signed with unsigned books. Seems like most probably sold them separately and those 1-3 signed copies were purchased immediately.

I find it greedy when people buy all signed copies available. Leave it to the others to enjoy. Spread the joy around.

I also called Parnassus Books, the indie bookstore here in Nashville that supplied books for the show.

They said Bono was in store on day of show to sign copies but that they sold out almost immediately. She said to check local bookstores in areas where tour is headed as likely similar arrangements in place.

I went in store to my second B&N today and was lucky to find one signed copy buried in the pile of 30-40 books. Staff didn’t even know they had any signed copies in store. Thank you all for the tips along the way, without this group I wouldn’t have found one. For those still looking, I noticed the signed version is a different SKU then the unsigned versions.

Same! I found 3 signed copies between 2 different stores and with the employees that I talked (one being a manager) none of them were aware of the signed copies.  It's weird how B&N distributed these books without any promotion but I am happy. It was like searching for buried treasure:)

No need to open each book while looking in-store at B&N either,

Just feel the back bottom cover for the sticker with the different UPC/ISBN and means it should be the signed version.

Check for B&N copies up front (maybe on a New Releases table) and on the New Non-Fiction shelf, and also back in the Music biography section.

I am at my second Barnes and Noble location of maybe 3 more before they close...no luck so far!
