Can you show the card? Personal assistant insist all the time such autographs are real or they are in the dark about these things. We have seen this here many times. PSA said no, JSA said yes - but suppose you sent it to GAI or Drew Max for example, one of those, it will likely pass even if not genuine. Self education is best (and cheapest).

Sold a long time ago.  However, I do still have one in my collection.  Will try to get a picture up later of the autograph I still have in my collection.

When he was in Indy rehabbing he signed 40 a day. Now i send him 100 every week or so. He signs them I can assure you. That being said he can't sign them all and some people receive a stamped 8x10, 5x7 or card size picture of him. I can assure you he signed yours and I will get the pictures in the mail tomorrow. I will also include a certificate of authenticity for the card and both photos. We rarely send those out but I want to make sure you understand PM would never have someone else sign his name. Please let me know when you receive the package.

Thank you

Your not the only one who thinks this. That’s why these companies need to be held accountable and called out when they pass and sometimes intentionally pass bad autographs. They are all guilty of it.

I would stay clear of this one and any others that are sticker certed.

To be honest, there are no TPA's I trust when it comes to Connery.

I would only ask for opinions here on AML

Connery is so heavily forged. Safest bets are his books and cheques.

He's one my favorites in my collection

With respect to this TPA COA, a company whom I know are great for some signatures- they dont seem to be very good at Connery at all. Ive seen them pass numerous fairly obvious forgeries- often over and over from the same shady sellers.

When looking for Bond autographs- be very aware of whats out there in the public domain. Because Bond stuff is popular, forgers will often look for examples to copy. Familiarise yourself with the PSA/DNA library of examples and also top results from a search engine. What you will find is that these examples are commonly copied and many forgeries will resemble these exact specific autographs. Off the top of my head, this is a fairly poor copy of one of the PSA exemplars. Amongst many things, the 'sean' and very end of 'nery' are wrong.

One must be careful - "...Familiarise yourself with the PSA/DNA library of examples..."

Those are not always  correct. Half the Gleason's shown at PSA Facts page are secretarial at best (signed by Sydell Spear, mid 1970's-1987 Personal Assistant to Jackie Gleason Enterprises). Drink from many wells...

Absolutely Erik- I dont think I was very clear. Im not saying use the PSA/DNA examples to authenticate others- what I mean is, be aware of what the PSA examples look like, so if you come across a signature that a forger has clearly copied from an example in their database you can spot it.

Ive just found that a lot of forgeries (especially Connery) are either copied/traced from the PSA examples, so it pays to know what examples they have on their website so you can pick them out and not get stung. Kind of like being aware of common autopens/rps etc.

Hi TQ,

That is very true - many forgeries are based on genuine examples. Below is a perfect example of this that I made last year and can be seen at davidbowieautograph.com.

PSA examples can be found on their website? thank you

Considering the value/demand there's prolly some fake book plates out there too , it would not surprise me
