Hi all, i was recommended to come here via Facebook, hope I'm posting in the right area!

I picked up a load of vinyl a while ago that included a Jimi Hendrix axis bold of as love first pressing. I played it and didn't pay much attention but have just noticed that it seems to have been signed by the three members on the inside gatefold.

The consensus online so far is that the signatures are legitimate . Any advice or debunking welcomed. I've already been in touch with some auction houses and will be picking one soon.

I don't think you need to worry about that. Besides, you pretty much said that when you opened this discussion!

I'm excited! I think you'll have a fine summer indeed!

I also wish you all the best Lewis. I'll try to watch on Wednesday.

I wonder why the partially-signed "White Album" (est. £80k - 100k, if I remember correctly ) is no longer offered?

In terms of "pure autographs" (excluding letters and drawings) yours is now the star lot!

Yeah i noticed that had gone. None of my business so i didn't ask Bonhams

I am sure you know, Lewis, that absolutely everyone is wishing the best possible outcome for you.

I can't wait for the auction, myself, and as long as you are satisfied with the result, nothing else matters.

Good luck, Lewis! I just received a courtesy email from Bonhams with a link to the auction. The only item they pointed out is your signed Axis LP.

Am watching the auction online and bids are coming in and things are selling on the other items. Heading over to Bonhams soon :)

19k (plus premium) is a nice come-up!

I thought it would have gone for more , i was surprised i was high bidder at 14,16 and 18 but just couldnt afford the premium on top and they are horrible for wanting quick payment i would have had to have sold some other Hendrix to pay for it  ,nice win for someone and will be back up for sale at 40k, but i suppose 15k is a nice bonus for the seller

Yeah, I caught the battle at the end of the live auction; looked like quite the back-and-forth. Certainly the biggest "win" for a seller I've seen on this forum, though I've only been here a couple years as a member.

It sold for $30,000 US before VAT, so about what the last one went for at RR. Congrats!

What's the VAT tax for the buyer?

A nice £6000+ for Bonhams and £700 for the taxman on the buyers premium but to be honest despite the discouragment for a private sale and the fact that i think Tracks or other dealers would have offered him £20,000 + cash anyway his heart was i think always set on auction and if 7 or £8000 doesnt matter and the auction experience was enjoyable then all ends well
