Waterstones whom I spoke to today are adament that they are hand signed by the author......mmmmm

yes, i hate to have to agree with you TRMSPGA   but I think you may be right, - every sig i have seen looks great for an 80 year old, but is this plausible?

Hang tight though  michelle

Hopefully some expert authenticators will weigh in on this.

This is why my In Person autographs are way more favored then

autographs I pickup from so called Musician Direct Stores.

Many sigs from those stores are legit, but it seems more and more that

far too many are lazy initials, sketchy, secretarial or the dreaded auto pen.

Look what  Jason H  and others are going through with Hilary Duff and

TSL...inexcusable!

Thoughts on these Liza's Eric Keith Longo ?

JJ

This is the common response to any authenticity question for any company before someone comes out (Whether that's a news article, or one of the big three authenticators confirming these are not legitimate) and proves that these are in fact not hand signed by Liza. I can post my pics when the books arrive to compare, so we can get a bigger database going and try and match up different ones.
The fact that TalkShopLive got them too, means "SHE SIGNED" a TON, which again, with the strength and uniformity of the sig, is super suspect for someone her age, and her health.

All these do look slightly different, so either real or secretarial IMO

yes, got to admit TRM  you have a point or several.  I have 2 vintage 80 sigs by her and they dont look anywhere as good as any of these  signed books.  I think i might just return mine

He is mine for comparison

Mine looks almost the same.
So the claim is that it was not signed by her, but a different person ?
Any comment about the autograph above ?

Jury is out at the moment, I’m on the fence, they are all different, so question is whether she signed or secretarial.

I'm with Allginger. There are similarities and there are differences compared to her known authentic signatures. I'm leaning on similarities and hoping her style slightly changed because of age and or other factors. Many are focused on the differences. No wrong answers at this point. We need more information to verify.

Thanks Allginger, I have overlaid yours with one of Tobysautographs.

Focus on “Liza” in the example below…granted, a couple of the tails and a couple angles don’t match up exactly. However, It seems extremely strange that the letter placement is exactly the same distance on both examples and much of it appears to overlay pretty closely.
