For a few bucks more you can get an authentic Mickey Mantle autograph on a baseball.

I guess the "story" from Ebay seller BB3347 convinced them to bid on this garbage.

That's why the sellers of forgeries flock to Ebay to list their forgeries.  Ebay wannabe autograph collectors are not the sharpest tools in the shed.

This is a disgusting SCAM story that had the naive buyers bidding on these garbage. Showing pix of tickets/an AUTHENTIC SIG in the 2nd picture! Alot of effort to sell this BAD FORGERY.

Here is his response to my questioning the authenticity.

Hi, 

     Thanks for your inquiry on this item.  Do you know the winner of this item?  I'm not exactly sure what your concerns are if you were not the winner.  The signature may look a bit off because I do remember Mickey was complaining that he had accidently hit his hand on a door frame the day before.  Other than that, this is a true masterpiece.

Mantle hit his hand on a door frame and his signature magically transformed into an exact duplicate of a known and mass-produced forgery style.

I have some sympathy for people who have fakes in their collection and were victimized themselves and are unknowingly selling one.

This seller, however, with his story paints himself into a corner where one can reach no conclusion other than he is a bald-faced liar.
