Someone asked me about eBay seller worldofautographsinc, eBay store http://stores.ebay.com/worldofautographscom.

They're mostly Movies/TV/Music and have about 1,100 autographs listed, many of them Global Authentics.

If you could take a look at some of the autographs you know and report back with what you think, I'd really appreciate it.

Thanks!

Hey DB, the prices on my website are almost always lower than ebay. I have to deal with their fees. So yes it would be a tad lower. Everybody prefers PSA items so lately I have been pricing them a bit higher.

I try to price fairly but its not an exact science at all. I am always open to offers on any item. Most items on eBay allow offers including the lohans. I priced the lohans a bit higher due to all the extra stuff she wrote on the front and back and the fact that she has limited her signing as of late.

Michael,

What's the story on the barely visible "Radioman" written at the top of the photo?

Hey Steve, he is the one that got them and she personalized every one to him. She refused to sign for anyone else that night. If it was not for him I would have none. Hence the much nicer signatures as well as further proof of the items authenticity.

Thanks, Michael. But why is his name so faded?

Poor inscription removal. Sometimes it just wont come all the way off.

Thanks. Still a nice, nice piece.

Hey Steve Thanks.  I think its cool.

Hey Mike at $40 it would fly off the shelf so to speak.

That's funny, Mike Airing saying that someone has a bad reputation....... Mike my reputation is super and if you are referring to the old company named GAI then fine. Between you and Cyrkin I do not know who is worse about trying to bad mouth people on this site. Also funny how before you moved to the mid west you used to see our staff member in Orange County quite frequently for you item until you started drinking Crykin's Kool Aid or whatever brew it is you guys are mixing up.

Stop the crap and if you do not have anything nice to say then zip it pal.

"Stop the crap and if you do not have anything nice to say then zip it pal."

Since you're the CEO of Global Authentics, is that also your authentication philosophy?

GA, everybody.

I like GA too. Are they perfect, no. But who is really? They have great customer service and turn around time is quick compared to others. These two aspects are very important to a dealer. No dealer wants their product sitting for 4 weeks n some office.  But, I have to admit, that the reputation is important as well. After all, our customers are putting their trust in us and the 3rd party companies.

Unfortunately, the old GAI reputation has followed the new company and that is a shame and once negative things are written online if anyone searches they will find it so it would be hard to get away especially since some people simply don't realize GAI does not equal GA.

My thoughts were always that a buyer would be more likely to trust a seller who had their items certified than one who did not. Obviously, most forgers are not going to submit their items for certification (I am certain that some very talented ones test the water by submitting items).  What I have learned is that there are people who hate and people who like each and every 3rd party certification company and right now PSA has the best perceived reputation in the market.

Here is a solution I thought up one day (probably not feasible): a dealer would submit each item to all 3 main players JSA, PSA and GA (and somehow each company would ignore their competitors stickers). That way all three stickers would be on the item (assuming they all agree). Then who could argue? Very few obviously. No one is going to do that but that would at least please most.

we will agree to disagree on some of this.  I believe our NASCAR mbr is also the authenticator for GA (last I knew) and there has yet to be any documented complaints.

As far as other areas, I have only heard lots of noise except for several in the baseball arena and by that I mean documented.

Lastly, I don't particularly like SIPE as I think he is a blowhard for having gotten duped into taking an action he ought to have never taken and never publically apologized.

Well almost lastly,,, MOST collectors have no idea as GA is an accepted EBAY authenticator (when last I checked) and contrary to some rumors roaming around they continue to be.

It would be good if whatever their issues are with authentication they correct them....  Until then, like u chris I tend to avoid for the most part as I just don't want to be taking chances, NASCAR excluded!.
