I didn't know the individual names of the Raelettes or any of the band really back then at the time, but these were taken off multiple people who turned up shortly before Ray arrived with another man.

Made me chuckle - w/o my glasses it looks like Phil S. on the left ;)

The picture is me waiting to get a signing off Cliff Richard at the Birmingham Hippodrome in 1963

Have I missed this photo? I can only see the newspaper clippings.

Re Ray Charles:

It's his secretary's handwriting.

My Ray Charles autograph from within a 1963 New Musical Express is going into a UK auction on 9th May 2018 at 12pm BST. It's been authenticated by Roger along with a number of Beatles and Rolling Stones autographs. The auction house has just sold a £240,000 collection of Beatles photos along with a Mercedes Benz car owned by George Harrison and it will be live in Warrington in UK and webcast live taking bids online. There is a total of 78 autographs dating to 1962/1963 in the same NME along with Ray Charles including Alma Cogan x 2, Dion, Sammy Davis Jr, The Springfields, Everly Brothers x 2, Nat King Cole, Helen Shapiro x 3, Dee Dee Sharp, Lonnie Donegan x 2, Brian Matthew, The Tornadoes, Frank Ifield, Billy Fury x 2, Shirley Bassey, Brenda Lee, Karl Denver and many more

Can you post photos? Do you have a link to the auction listing?

pretty sure its omega auctions.  if it is , do remember for anyone that is bidding on anything there that they no longer take ccards for any items

Yes it's Omega. They were recently featured in the UK BBC news for a big Beatles sale they did selling some great collections which is why I picked them as its my Beatles autographs I was focusing on. the Ray Charles however was always one I treasured getting as I knew even back as a kid when I met him that he was something special and I was lucky to meet him and along with my friend who was there we were even luckier to both get autographs from him. The tour itself was a big deal at the time as it was his first time in UK and it was all over many of the music papers at the time.

yes, - they have a good pr department.  The real negative thing about them is that they now have stopped taking ccards so this is a problem , - well it is for me.
