I see this site brought up a lot on this site for autograph references.

problem is, who ever this Stephan is he has a load of forgeries up here too. I get messages from people from time to time saying he has offered to sell a member here an item or two and it is never the real stuff imo, it is usually the fake stuff. Greed. He wants money but doesn't want to part with the good stuff.
Eagles are his most famous work. Attached is a screen shot of his fake work (not limited too). Notice how they are the same..... duh. If you look through his stuff he has loads of fake Zeppelin, Beatles, Springsteen, Stones, Floyd and more. Even the so called authentic Traveling Wilbury's is not real. Maybe the George and Petty are ok but 100% not the Lynne and I'm pretty sure the Dylan is bogus also. Anyway, I don't wish to debat about this guy and his ethics but if you are using him a reference be careful and I wouldn't buy anything from the guy either.

I don't know Nimoy's autograph. Are you saying that in your opinion none of the 9 you posted of Stephen's are genuine? The first, the ninth, and possibly the third (hard to see well) seem more similar to the ones you posted as genuine examples.
The first one has a shot, that would be the only one that I feel comfortable with as a "maybe".
#1 is the only real one in Mr. Duncan's images in the scan Mike provided.
Agree. I would not buy any of them.

Stephen and I talked last night and we talked about these McCartneys that he said he got signed at Rockline Studios in 1990. They look way too far off to me, especially his last name. Steve said that they were not signed in front of him. Someone was collecting things to be signed and then bringing them back signed. I told him there was no way Paul signed them. He couldn't imagine why Paul would say he'd sign them and not actually sign them himself, but we all know that happens. I imagine that there were so many things collected to be signed that one or more others signed some and didn't tell Paul.
I think Stephen still believes they're real.
Steve has a Thriller album that we used in the feature on him, personalized to him and signed Michael Jackson. For years, that style was widely considered genuine, but many now consider it an IP proxy signature. MJ would often take items from fans and collectors inside, often in his car, and return them signed a little while later. I imagine that's how Steve got that one.
It was in the story on our website until today. I just took it down.
In spending more time looking at these and comparing them to exemplars from around that time and considering the various characteristics, I actually would not rule out five of these as being very rushed signatures in the hand of Macca. Aside from the fourth one which looks very bad to me, I think these may actually have been signed by Macca.
Wow! To me, the last two have chances of being good. The first 3, I think I told Steve never in a million years. Please post examples we can compare them to.
I saw some consistencies in these signatures, but upon further review I doubt their authenticity. Sorry about that.
Don't be sorry at all, Ballroom. Thanks for giving the autographs such a serious review.
The "P" on the 5 matches well. Interesting.
