The amount of material used to seal would not be a constant so no, not feasible.

You have to open it up. DO NOT keep it sealed. My wife was trying to tell me to keep mine sealed. I didn't. And guess what? I found out the book was upside down!!! And, what if you got one that isn't even signed? If you open it, and don't mess up the pages or bindings, it will hold its value.

Now...who is interested in my upside down copy????

Do you plan to sell your upside down to get a copy without that problem? Or you were going to sell it anyway?

Nobody ! It is for the garbage can...

I did some reading online and unlike with stamps, or baseball cards, or coins, it sounds like errors on book production don't necessarily make them more valuable and it said it was fairly common to have upside down pages. Personally I think it's kinda cool, but I like weird stuff like that... but might be good like you said for everyone to open them and check them out in case they need to return them if more are like that... or on the other hand what if you get one with 2 signature pages. You'd never know if you had that unless you opened it... or missing the signatures for that matter.

Well, If someone with  a "damaged" sigend book want to get rid of it for a symbolic price... DM me :)

I sent you a friend request GUY. I'm thinking I'll just sell this upside down book (with great looking autographs). Anyone interested -- message me.

Just got mine. One came in separate cardboard box the other not. One with no additional box has a barcode sticker over the the plastic on back covering the the barcode on the insert. The other, the barcode sticker is just on the cardboard box over the original barcode on the sticker label.

Will you be opening them?

No, they are sealed tight with the ripples on back, so I see no need.

Has everyone who purchased this $300 copy from Amazon opened theirs? I received one and it's in its plastic wrap and everything just like the one I bought for my dad at Barnes and Noble back in December. I plan on letting this one stay here and hold onto for the next 30 years in its plastic wrap.

What do you all think?

EDIT: I opened it, couldn't help myself. Autographs look great. Going to keep this baby tucked away for a long time. Thanks to the team here for the heads up. Got one for my dad at B&N and one for me now :D :D

Same here. I had to open mine too. Very happy with it. I think I am going to be keeping this for a while. So now I have one where I removed the signatures (and have them separated with my main autograph collection) and this one which will stay in the book intact. Also came with the original shipping box so that’s a plus. Thanks to whoever found this deal. Very happy!
