Of course i knew they would say that, but now i've got it documented. I haven't seen anyone else post that they asked the question and got a response saying he signed them. Maybe someone did and i missed it. All i've seen is everyone posting they reached out to get a return label. I honestly don't want to send them back, as all they'll do is resell them to someone else who doesn't know they're fake. Interscope wins. But i do want my money back. I'm not sure at this stage how i'll achieve that but i'll keep working on it. Of course everyone has their own way of dealing with these situations. I'm just sick and tired of these big labels doing the wrong thing all the time.

So take a marker and write over your cds FAKE FAKE FAKE NOT SIGNED BY SNOOP. then return them.

I'd love to do that but i'd never get my money back. Although it would be very satisfying.

Hand signed by the "artist"... they are not lying, technically someone drawing someone else's name is an artist... in the same sense that everyone who draws anything is an artist. They didn't actually state it was signed by Snoop.

You're 100% correct. I've emailed them back to clarify "artist". I know i'm wasting my time but i'm wasting their time as well.

I don't see it as a waste even if it doesn't lead anywhere. I wish everyone would make the effort. Its the only way this hobby will have any chance at seeing results. We all should make efforts like this and keep fighting to be heard. Even if we didn't make a purchase.

Just curious, has anyone seen posts of these failing quick opinions yet? I'm not a fan of them but they could be used as a tool to force the label to address this issue differently

An agent just has to be assigned by the artist. Legal to sign. Must that be disclosed? I don't think so, no. The artist is "supposed to "be there"...smok, I mean supervising.

Has to be - ha.. rules are meant to be broken. Wait, thats Rock and Roll.. This is Rap.. Rules MUST be broken... lol. Its been proven that as long as they can get away with anything, they will. Regardless of the law. They will just make sure their a**** are covered somehow. Who signed the fake Tears for Fears Curt Smith signatures? Obviously not an agent. (probably not the best example with purchases thru amazon)  but this happens way too often still no matter how many times they are caught.

So, unfortunately, I opened the CD before I saw the signatures were fake.  I've been trying since December 27th to get them to ok a return and refund (about 6 back-and-forths), then finally received this this morning after my latest attempt ...

"Thank you for your continued patience. We are unable to offer a return label at this time as your CD has been opened, but we'd like to assure you that your Missionary Exclusive Signed CD is hand-signed by the artist.

As always, please feel free to reach out to us if you have any other questions or concerns.

Thanks for your continued support,"

I'm feeling so defeated right now.  I didn't find out about the Bon Jovi fiasco until October or November (honestly don't know how I missed that thread), so it was too late to go after a refund on that one.

Tell them no. Say that they've taken returns on everyone else's items and that you're entitled to a refund.

I received my refund yesturday

Look at the bright side, there is no proof they are fake so you could be the most smug person on the forum in a few weeks.
