It obtained from very respectable auction house. More information will be given to the buyer. Try again to log in, I just did and its not expired.
it originated on ebay, flipped on RR auction and now he has it and it's back on ebay.
Dear Steve, since I'm not a professional expert I wouldn't challenge authenticity. However, I wouldn't pay over 8 grand based on the information that has been provided, that's all. If Bob has his own customers he developed relationship with they probably know better. You know how's everyone is suspicious these days...
BTW, it wasn't me, the poster bashing the price...
I agree with you Steve! Unfortunally over the last few weeks there have been somewhat of a change of attitude here at AML, at least according to me. There is much more of a "lynch mob mentality" and people are throwing accusations around them all the time. This has been apparent in many different threads lately.
I don´t say that these people always are wrong about the subjects debated, I´m just saying that I don´t like the way they are handling the matter.
I don´t know, maybe that´s just me...
I have never understood bashing or criticizing someone because their asking price is too high.
You don't have to buy it.
Or, if you really want it that item, and hopefully it's still available, save up for it.
The real issue is jealously. People get jealous of other people because they purchased at a very good price, and now, if they want to, they can resell it for a nice profit.
I've purchased many Jeter autographs for well under $100.00. I picked up a beautiful Joe DiMaggio autograph on a golf outing sheet for $28.00. I purchased numerous Mickey Mantle sigs on baseballs for well under $200.00.
One of the benefits of studying autographs is being able to purchase autographs without a piece-of-paper.
An owner of an item has the right to sell their item for whatever price they desire.
Period.
I laugh at asking prices on junk autographs all the time. Especially the ones that are ridiculous.
I agree though if the signatures are good the seller can ask what ever they want for it. Nobody is forced to buy anything. Maybe somebody will want it bad enough to spend that for it.
