I was shocked, too. As is everyone else, including his Monkees bandmates. Steve suggested a tribute blog to someone else last night. Perhaps I can get it started with my in-person autos of his and my photos with him. Care to join in, everyone who has been able to meet him?

Julie I just saw him in person less than 3 weeks ago and he looked great. I was shocked.

I've been offline most of the day. Decided to wear my Monkees 45th anniversary t-shirt that I bought at their sold-out concert in Clearwater, FL last June. I get online this evening to see this sad news.

DAVID JONES "THE MONKEES" : lovely bloke, great talent and now performing in God's great garden may he now rest in the peace and security of God's grace.

Never forgot his roots and loved his golf :) Just a couple of the items he sent\gave to me over the years for those interested :

Sad loss but the legacy will last forever :)
