With March Madness going on , how many people have tried to get signed photos of the College teams, BOTH MEN'S AND WOMEN'S teams with coaches and assistant coaches? I am working on the women's teams that are in the tournaments and will keep you posted on any success

The past 2 weeks, I have gotten autographs of Bill Curry, Charley Trippi, Bob Baumhower, Michael Brooks, and Matt Weiters. Keep 'em comin'!!!

Received the autograph of 1947 Heisman Trophy winning quarterback, Johnny Lujack, in the mail today. He signed for me his 1990 Notre Dame Collegiate Collections card. Johnny quaterbacked Notre Dame to 3 National Championships, and even served our country in World War II in between.

I went to a sports card show today and picked up a Jason Kubel Sweet Spot Signatures card signed on a piece of his bat numbered 34/35, a card of the RIP Girls , twins Stephanie and Lindsay signed , a 5x7 photo of the Minnesota Timberwolves preformance team signed by 3 of the dancers, a framed picture of MILLER LIGHT  race team signed by Jimmy Vasser and 4 others (WILL NEED HELP IDENTIFYING WHEN I post picture. andlast but not least a signed WNBA B-BALL FROM THE MINNESOTA LYNX TEAM , SIGNED BY KATIE SMITH #30,  JANELL BURSE #33, KRISTI HARROWER #8, And others I'll have to update BUT THE B-BAL IS MY NEW PROZED POSSESSION

Aww, Russ I bet she was thrilled to sign for you and it will forever be a favorite in your collection!

 

I have a question, my great uncle attended college with Clark Griffith, owner of the Washington Senators.  When my aunt passed away I was given 3 letters written to members of my family from Mr. Griffith.  They are  typed letters on "Washington American League Base Ball Club"  letterhead and signed by Mr. Griffith and Thelma Griffith.  They are from 1933, 1939 and 1955.    I'm wondering what the value of something like this might be.  They are in excellent condition and still in the envelopes.

I got a neat sports autograph yesterday that I would like to share with you all.

I was going through a box of photographs when I came upon my youngest daughters soccer card from a couple of years back. I went to my drawer, grabbed a Sharpie and asked my 6 year old to sign her card for me. I even said please and thank you like a good collector! Of course, she was more than happy to sign it for me !

Hey Tim, there are such things as hat/cap cubes, I guess is what you call them, that you can put a hat/cap in and display it. It is a hard plastic cube in the shape of a hat/cap that you simply unsnap, put the hat/cap in, and snap back together. The only place I know that has these is BP Sports here in the Atlanta, GA area. Give them a call and see about pricing and if they'll ship some to you: (678) 355 - 9990. As far as track cards go, I would find a big poster frame at your local Wal-Mart, Target, Michael's Hobby Lobby, etc. Those are big enough to encomapss several different pictures, and would make a nice large display piece that would hold them all at once.

I'm very fortunate to have a brother that works for a driver in Nascar.  I've gotten tons of official hats/caps and fan cards autographed. 

I'd like to know if anyone knows of a good way to display them?!   Dust is naturally a bad thing, so I'm looking for any suggestions other than large zip loc bags.

 

I've got everyone from Danica, to JR, to Gordon, Johnson, R. Petty, etc.   Only a very few of the minor drivers are left. 

 

I'd also like a suggestion for something to house/display the signed fan cards, other than picture frames...!?

Today's mail brought me the autograph of the 1953 Heisman Trophy winner from Notre Dame, Johnny Lattner. He was great at every position on the field; don't believe me? Look it up, you'll be amazed. Offense, defense, and special teams; there was no quit in that man.

Yesterday I attended our local monthly sports card show and the autograph guest was Steelers great Donnie Shell.  He was very friendly and was posing for pictures.  He signed a vintage Pittsburgh Steelers mini helmet for me.
