Jamie Lee Curtis, Baroness Haden-Guest (Los Angeles, November 22, 1958), is an American actress. Daughter of the famous actors Tony Curtis and Janet Leigh, Curtis is mainly known for her role as Laurie Strode in the horror saga Halloween and for her participation in the cult film Double Room (1983), for which she won the BAFTA for best actress non-protagonist. For her True Lies (1994), she won the Golden Globe for Best Actress in a Motion Picture Musical or Comedy. His other important film credits include A Fish Called Wanda (1988), Blue Steel (1989), Freaky Friday (2003) and Knives Out (2019). In 2022 she received critical acclaim for her performance as Deirdre Beaubeirdre in the award-winning film Everything Everywhere All at Once, for which she won the Academy Award for best supporting actress, two Screen Actors Guild Awards for best supporting actress protagonist and best cast, also being nominated for the Critics' Choice Awards, the Golden Globe and the BAFTA Award. In television, she won the Golden Globe for Best Actress in a Musical or Comedy Series for her role in the television series Anything but Love in 1990. In 1998 she was awarded a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame at 6600 Hollywood Boulevard for his contribution to the film industry. In 2021, she was awarded the Golden Lion for her lifetime achievement as part of the 78th Venice International Film Festival.
