What do Autographs and Stocks Have in Common?

I remember the first article I ever read about autographs was when I was 11-years-old (I’m in my mid-40s now). It was pages and pages, all about sports signatures. I read about Ty Cobb signing in green ink. Lots of good stories on Babe Ruth.

A Dopey Story

I've written a few books, the last one of which came out just over five years ago - Homemade Hollywood: Fans Behind The Camera, tracing the rise of "fan films"—those homemade Star Wars and superhero movies you find on the internet. All these years I dreamed of getting that space filled in on my card and 47 years later I did when I saw the re-united Rascals in San Francisco on October 12, 2013. I spotted Gene's fiancee just before intermission, but she said she…

The 1925 and 1926 editions were both signed, and of course, the purchaser wishes to remain anonymous.

Hitler gave the books to Josef Bauer, an early follower who participated in the 1923 Beer Hall Putsch in Munich. They were…
