Some interesting John F. Kennedy items in the RR Auction that ends tomorrow. There’s a Harvard sweater, which would warm you nicely this time of year. I’d rather have the Commander-in-Chief bomber jacket, but that will probably be costly. Oh, and there are a lot of assassination-related items. It’s strange how people get when it comes to collectables. Just today, I heard that the gold medal Jesse Owens won in the Berlin Olympics in 1936 (talk about a big F-U to Hitler), is on the auction blocks. You know what I love about presidential memorabilia? When there are stories about it being released or auctioned, they’re fun to read. It’s a part of history. And it’s the thing I care least about collecting, so I don’t worry about any of the auctions (it also helps that it’s usually out of my price range.
