Mighty MAX WEINBERG signing autographs in the O.C. and in Los Angeles.

MAX WEINBERG, Mighty Max Weinberg at the Norman P. Murray Center in Mission Viejo, Friday September 30th, 2011 and at The Grammy Museum on Thusday October 6th, 2011.

It very was nice to see Max Weinberg and his "little" BIG BAND performing a 90 minute all rock'in concert with some big band style tunes and many classic covers, including a show ending "RAMROD". Then a few nights later for a Q&A at The Grammy Museum where he spoke of the very sad passing of Clarence Clemmons, of bit of E-Street Band myths and fokelore, and many stories of his son Jay and life with a 20 year old rock'er son.  Both nights were simply, incredible.  Max is one of the nicest, smartest, and more amazing man in all of Rock and Roll and simply an enjoyment to hear him speak and/or of course perform music.

Max signed two drum heads for me, one each night, as well as some photos and tour books. A bit concerned at first that I might be a dealer, he quickly knew I wasn't once he allowed me to talk and chat with him a bit. I asked him several questions which he graciously answered.  I then handed him a signed copy of my book, "Just A Fan", which he smiled and accepted.

An amazing drummer, an amazing man, and just a really neat guy!!

He is a cool guy.  Saw him with his big band in his hometown, South Orange, NJ last fall.  Man, he works hard.
