As part of the promo release for his newest album, "Thank you Mr. Churchill", Peter Frampton appeared at an in store Q&A session, and even played a bit of guitar, at the Hollywood Guitar Center on Wednesday May 26th from 7pm -10pm. It a nutshell, it was a blast!!! As part of the continued "SESSIONS" celebrity serise by The Guitar Center, the crowd of less than 200, including press, squeezed (I mean squeezed) into the area of side room stage, and was treated to a night of pure and very intimate Peter Frampton.

After the 2 hour interview, a few crowd Q&A's (including myself asking PF about the 1978 film "Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band" in which he respectfully said he does not wish to talk about as "it wasn't a happy time"), guitar playing and greeting the crowd, he then was ready to sign autographs. There was a catch, but one that I have said for years is a win/win and I only wish more celebrities would understand and get with the program. Frampton would sign up to two autographs per person, but you had to buy his new CD or another CD, that they were selling that night. Purchase 1 CD, get a second item signed. Purchase 2 CD's, get up to 2 of your items signed.

What two items you wanted signed were up to you, including guitars, just as long as you purchased his product from the store that night. In addition, for every CD you purchased, you recieved a pre signed poster flat (bigger than an LP flat) of his new LP. So, to sum it up: For the price of my time (waiting in line for 5 hours on Sunset Blvd), and the price of two CD's ($32.00), I recieved an incredible and very rare and personal Peter Frampton interview and him playing his guitar, took over 100 pictures (posted on my Facebook page thus far), recieved two pre signed poster flats, and recieved two in person autographed albums that I brought. How much better does that get?
