Rod Stewart -- An Autograph and a Check

Who’s that knockin’ on my door?!!!!

I’ve always been a fan of Rod Stewart. Even when he dipped his toe into disco sounding songs in the late ‘70s. He’s also been a good autograph signer, if there aren’t a billion people around.

Here’s a classy move he pulled off recently. A nursing student named Natasha Jenkins was in a coma for 22 days from Covid-19. She did a video on Facebook showing a meet up with her three children following five weeks of treatment at a hospital in Wales. Many people in the UK viewed that video, including Stewart.

Jenkins got a call from a lady saying she was calling on behalf of Rod Stewart, and he wanted to send her something.

She assumed it would be a card, but it was a nice autographed photo she got two days later after a delivery person was knocking on her door. And, he also had a “get well” check for $6,000 from Sir Rod (that so sounds like a porn name).

Many people in her town have been giving her cards, food, and gifts on her doorstep. Unfortunately, she’s in no shape to go back to the nursing courses, that were at the same hospital she was treated at. She said the money is going to help her not have to rush back to her regular grind.

She sent Stewart a thank you card and flowers.

Wow, what a great story and awesome gesture from Sir Rod! I agree, it does sound like a porn name but I guess he'd secretly love that!

Bravo! It's always uplifting to learn about a celebrity not being self absorbed.

I like this kind of charity. You know where the money is going and that it will help big time.

He is a very kind man for sure.  He paid all of Ronnie Lanes expenses for his medical stay while he was in Houston.  Ronnie Lived across the street in a hotel from the hospital he went to nearly every day.  Rod picked up the check for everything.

I love when people do that for their friends. There's a similar story about Robin Williams doing that for Christopher Reeves after his accident (they were friends at Julliard, before either were famous). Thanks for chiming in, Roger.
