Everyone:
I would avoid John Kayne information unless he provides a real email address and phone number, and you talk to him first. I'd wait until he adds more details to his post.

Seems like these people are fishing for clients or something here.No big fan of the accountability of authenticaters either. The people at the "planet" of course are jumping on this. Maybe he should take it there.

I have no problem posting my name, if you prefer, but I am not a dealer except if you consider an Ebay store a dealer, in that event could I post my Ebay store name for publicity, or I can post my real name if you prefer. Please advise.

I'll check later today, Jefferson, thanks, but that doesn't change the rules here. You have customers so you're at least a part-time dealer. You have to use your real name here.

Plus we believe that you have a second member name here that was agreeing with this member name in a discussion on a JFK that everyone but the two of you didn't like.

This is what bothers me. What difference should it make? If it gets sent in with no pre-certification it may fail, but send it in the a name attached and all of a sudden it's good? Shouldn't it pass on it's own merit?

That's exactly the problem I have as well. And all the pre-certified stuff sold at RR.. it shouldn't matter if it's submitted immediately after the auction or 6 months down the road by a different owner, it should pass or PSA should admit it screwed up the pre-certification. Unfortunately as we know, this is never the case.

We really do need to see some examples of rejected items to get an idea of what happened. I'm stunned that PSA could have rejected five items knowing that they passed QO. They seem to be conservative with their QO service, and it just doesn't make sense. To have that many items from RR Auction fail authentication also seems very odd, Grad or no Grad. Obviously, I'd love to see that Hendrix.

Bruce, I'm not the person who started the discussion, but I am the one who has been referring to my friend and his 23 out of 25 rejections from PSA. I can't post any pictures of the items because I don't have them.

My only intention in all this was to post my friend's story as he asked (because he is not a member) so that I could get the attention of John Kayne (OP) in order to get Kayne's contact info for my friend so that they might discuss their situations. That was my only intended involvement.

But am I surprised by 23 out of 25 rejections...yes and no. Yes, since he's had several past positive dealings with PSA, and since over half came from RR, and since 5 got positives by QO. And no because "stuff" often happens when any business has a major change in personnel.

And my friend is not a novice as he's done a lot of business with RR Auctions in the past.
