Submitted some stuff to RR and was rejected because didn't meet requirement of: one lot must have $1000 value or group of lots must equal $5000.

Pretty much rules out most autographs

heritage is 400 to 500 minuim

I just did a bunch with rr and didn't have that problem stuff way under the 1k . I think it just depends on the itiems ,there comps there using and who your dealing with.

it was interesting the stuff they choose and the stuff they passed on . every auction house is weird  what sells at one doesn't sell at another.

rr is one of the more expensive auction houses when it comes to sellers fees

What fees do they charge you as a seller?

for music and I think autographs 20 percent plus 15$ per lot illustration fee

pluse if u put a reserve they get a a fee if it doesn't sell or kibnda like a buy back ,u have to read there contract they had a lot of cluases.

heritage is a strait 20 percent .no buy back or anything

bonahams is pretty up front also just depends on your relationship for ur fees.

ive had auction house as low as 5% depending and what the itiem sells for but most at 10 and 15%  ive been able to negatiate

the worst ive ever tried to deal with is juliens first there clueless second there very clueless. and that's not just my opinion ive had other people try to work with them and it was impossible

you must have given a collection worth $5000 or more

Nope. In fact the initil deal was only 4 items worth about 1500 in total maybe.

I would encourage you to inquire with RR for specifics. They may have different guidelines based upon what type of auction it is, i.e., regularly monthly vs specialty, etc.

yeah, the items were for their first sci fi auction
