Connor... you need to stop worrying about nonsense. It costs thousands of dollars to retain attorneys and file suit. It is an stupid, empty threat intended to intimidate and bully you. He has no case or damages. He is not going to do a damn thing other than bark.

Attorneys don't consult with clients and file lawsuits in the space of a day. That's ridiculous.

No, that's not infringement. That falls under fair use regulations. The same laws that let members post almost any image for discussion, education, criticism and parody

The seller is upset because once you file a case against him Paypal freezes his cash up to the amount of the money paid to him by you. And, if his account does not have the balance already in Paypal they will put a hold on all new funds added until the full amount of the claim is in Paypal's control. The money is held until a decision is made on who gets the money. He probably knows this is a losing proposition for him unless he gets you to voluntarily withdraw the dispute.

This is a classic example of what can go wrong when buying or selling on the Internet. When both parties are not able to reach a agreement to resolve a dispute, their funds can be held up for an extended period of time. Always take precaution whom you are doing business with.

Most disputes are settled via eBay's procedures. Although, Paypal has the power to reverse eBay's decision. Plus, if you pay via credit card through Paypal, your credit card issuer has the ultimate power to reverse any purchase made. As long the buyer does not try to pull off some sort of deception, the credit card company nearly always decides in favor of their card holder(buyer). As long as the dispute is initiated in the proper time frame.
