I think they got George's signature right.

I believe the Clapton is a known forgery style, which makes me to believe they are both bad. Here is an example of this Clapton style currently listed on eBay

I don’t think the George is consistent with any forgery style that I’m familiar with.

Ballroom, do you have any George exemplars that is consistent with?

The Clapton August album is interesting. According to the paperwork, it originated from Caleb Gluck, Golden State Autographs. Back in the 90s, he had a solid reputation and was regarded as a reliable in-person dealer. Yet, two items I purchased from him in the 90s later failed authentication. One was a Clapton signed photo.

Golden State was most recognized for specializing in selling checks. That's what his great reputation was built for by the time I got into autographs.

I don't like it...

My only assumption is that why on earth someone would want to forge a Clapton on an authentic Harrison? Taking a look at the Harrison itself, do we have any other examples of him signing in a thick silver marker? During George's time, I would assume that most silver pens would be a steel tip. A forger can also really hide a lot of flaws in an attempt using a thicker marker.

What always bothers me is that they ALWAYS seem to catch someone with a silver paint pen...something that will produce a good contrast on the item! Most people...if you're lucky enough bump into a Beatle.....it's always..."Oh my God....wait.. I've got a napkin in my purse"....or...."All I've got is a check stub...maybe he'll sign that?" People do not walk around with album covers...or posters...and paint pens...and just happen to catch George & Clapton...and get the poster signed!!!

The poster sold for $2450.  That is amazing. I personally don’t like either signature.

That is quite unfortunate.

I don't like the signatures in felt pen and also this eric clapton "late years style". 2450$???? Ha ha ha... For me could be a great fake this piece... Stop!
