Let's reserve this thread for any non-musician signed books and other items, at least until a dedicated forum exits for those posts.

It's the same grift that the sports collectibles industry has been doing for years -- I get messages from CGC constantly about comic signings with actors that easily run into the hundreds of dollars. In some respects, I can understand the value for some collectors, but it just isn't my cup of tea.

Downey Jr.'s auto in particular has skyrocketed over the past couple of years, ever since Endgame -- I seem to recall that there were some five-figure sales of his first MCU auto card (for Iron Man).

Donald Trump signed book $229. I saw this on Facebook and figured I'd post here. Possible autopen?

Wouldn't be the first time.

FYI- most of the “signed merch” he sold from 2016-present has been autopenned

Thanks for the warning. This is too expensive to take a chance but I know some people will still want to try

I think he did autopen the last "signed" books he sold. I wouldn't take the risk personally.

(ps I know there is another thread for a similar but more expensive item, from Sept 21, but this seems the logical place to post now)

Pretty underwhelming list in contrast to past years. Curious what the complete list looks like.

Yea nothing on here besides Dave and have a few of those already.

They'll have others.  This is just the first list they've released.  For example, there are certain kid's books that pop up most years like The Insiders, Wonder, The Book Thief.  Hillary Clinton has a new book-so I'd expect it to be there. There are usually at least 3-5 musicians, a few actors, a couple celbrity chefs, etc.  I'd be patient for the full list. But admittedly-not sure I make the trip to the next county over for what has been announced thus far.  And then there are usually at least a couple that they announce but don't have-like Brian Wilson. So I'd be patient. Hopefully, it improves when they have the full list released.
